Carling Cup

Comments (3)

With the next match being a Carling Cup game against Sheffield Wednesday, would now be a good time to blood a few of the fringe players from the first team squad to play alongside the regulars? I'm sure Vidarsson, Jutkiewicz, Kissock, Agard, Boyle and Anderson da Silva would all relish the opportunity to start a match without the pressure of it being a Premier League game. I'm not saying put all them in at once, but surely we will be too strong for the Owls with around 3 or 4 of them starting?

I would have agreed a week ago mate, but now this looks a game where yakubu and johnson need to play together so they can try to build some sort of partnership (johnson get a goal perhaps) and the team should perhaps try to build a little confidence and develop some shape to our play ahead of our next two important fixtures

I agree with Paul on this one,now this game has become very important in terms of performance and result. We need to go full strength to start off with to build the confidence and get the football going again(repeat of tottenham away this season would b nice) C.O.Y.B

Agreed. But it probably wont happen. If one of those you mention start that will be the height of it.
