Slight Annoyance

Comments (10)

In the wake of our midfield crisis which IS the cause of our recent slump, it does annoy me the fact that Everton are paying wages to Andy Van der Meyde and Anderson de Silva, both would make huge differences in the team, yet don't come close to the team.

Fair enough, Van der Meyde's situation is complicated with his child, but he could have been the man to add that creativity, and Anderson could have been the BIG centre mid that were crying out for ? his Barnsley form has highlighted this fact.

Are you kidding me ?!?!?! Van der Meyde is an alcoholic, he has slated Moyes, he has slated his move to Everton, been out on the piss and spiked with drugs, so he says and has basically been worse than useless as he as you quite correctly point out is drawing a wage, and not a small one at that.

Da Silva has looked crap when he’s played for us, to say that he has proved he would be good in a premiership side aiming for the top 6 because hes played for Barnsley is really stretching things a bit dont you think ?

totally agree with u Andrew mate,to be honest, i couldnt give a crap right now about AvM’s attitude in the past, he has NEVER had a decent run in the team (granted perhaps a lot of his own doing) and we are absolutely shocking in the middle at the moment - even with arteta and grav we will still almost zero genuine width in the team...so i say what the hell give the lads a go, it surely cant be any worse than it is right now!! we might even be pleasantly surprised......

Match fit Anderson has today returned on loan to Barnsley for a further month according to bluekipper... no run out for him in the Carling cup then !

So, no respite for the present (seriously out of form) incumbents in the midfield .. no chance to try and get some shape to our play... a bloody continuation with staid defensive midfielders.

Anderson might be shit! In which case what the hell is he still doing under contract with us....

A farcical ludicrous situation... I just hope Bjarni Vidarsson is given a run out instead...

Gary
I’m sure in an ideal world AVDM and Da Silva wouldn’t get near an Everton teamsheet, but this is by no means an ideal situation! AVDM’s attitude stinks and I hear he has family problems at the moment so perhaps he’s a no go even if we wanted him. Da Silva on the other hand.... I’m thinking, if he’s not good enough to compete with the midfield displays we’ve been witnessing recently, then he’s not worth having. he may be young and inexperienced, but can he make things worse??? Possibly, but why shouldn’t we have kept him back from barnsley and give him a run out in the Carling cup and see what happens. If he’s not close to competing with what I’ve been watching in our midfield recently then get rid!

van der meyede is NOT an alcoholic Gary, enough of these bullshit comments that you have got from the papers, you know nothing about the lad he deserves a run of games end of.

Osman, Neville, Carsley, Pienaar, Vidarsson, Jagielka.

Thats list of Midfielders that we have to choose from in our squad from 2morrows.

Neville is inefficitve in Midfield, so thats 4 from 5 players that are really only squad players. where is the creativity coming from?

The Return of Gravesen, Arteta and Cahill can not come soon enough for me, and lets hope we are not down the league and out of europe when they return.

Really highlights the blow to the squad missing out on Fernandes or a late deadline signing has made to the team.
