We should and will most likely win at Sheffield tomorrow though I'm glad it's Wednesday and not United with Beattie on fire and now scoring for fun. But will that just cover up the many cracks for a while?

The stories are pretty certain that there HAS been a dressing room bust-up. Has Arteta been injured or has he been disciplined for comments to Moyes/Irvine? Is Johnson fed up? And very strong rumours are that the Yak is already sorry he didn't return to Portsmouth. Why all these problems from previously good players (at other clubs)?

Crap tactics, playing out of natural positions, being asked to run about & work like donkeys? Whatever the reasons, something has got to change quick or we could be in the lower league positions very soon, and it may not be as easy to escape as two seasons back if we get down there.

This squad will never be world beaters but are much better than we have seen recently and there has to be games when they are allowed to express their skills be allowed to entertain and play real FOOTBALL. However while the club continue with the present "second rate frighteningly defensive minded" management/coaching team, who appear to be totally berift of any style or pattern of play or indeed even tactics, I doubt if we will see that very often.

James, it would not be the first time that Moyes has lost the dressing room, his man management, is like his tactical awareness.
The Arteta rumour has gathered pace
after his crass reply to a radio merseyside reporters question on Arteta’s availability?

Well James you are very priviledged to have such delicate inside information !! Rather than spread unfounded rumours ( unless you have proof of course ) concentrate on encouraging the team. We are struggling in the area of creativity mainly due to the absence of Arteta who was off form before his injury - maybe he was carrying it then. Tommy G would have offered some had he not got injured. We are struggling in centre mid but the options are limited at the moment, that’s why Moyes wanted Fernandes who let us all down. Yakubu will struggle while the creativity is limited as he thrives on through balls not getting on the end of rocket launchers ( we don’t want him chasing aimless balls likes Beattie) and AJ just needs a goal. I would judge Moyes and the team when we have a fit squad, anyone remember Cahill ??!!

Sorry James but your post is nonsense.

The rumours about Johnson are just recycled crap from the summer which wasn’t true in the first place.

The Arteta claims are based on one person’s bad interpretation of an interview with a terse Moyes who in other interviews had already shown he was angry with his players.

I should think Yakubu is annoyed after being dropped but maybe it’ll teach him to work a little harder.

Arteta struggled at his last club and has come good with Everton under Moyes tutelage.

Only Neville could be construed as playing out of his natural position (attacking central midfield instead of defensive) and most would suggest he isn’t complaining.

Finally you’re the only person who seems deluded enough to believe we’re actually in danger of being relegated after a couple of poor league performances

Steve if you read the post correctly I am encouraging the team. I ask to see the team given even just a little freedom to play the football which I firmly believe they are capable of ( Spurs game). While concerns obviously at present are with results we also deserve to expect at least some degree of flair, pattern or style. Moyes has had five years to build a’’fit’’ squad, not five weeks. As stated they are not world beaters(can’t be denied)but they are pretty good and far far better than has been shown recently. As with most things controversial concerning Everton, solid proof is almost impossible, even about ticket distribution. The stories/rumours call them what you wish are very strong. Don’t blame it all on the Media as the job is to feed of scraps of truth. My Question is WHY do they continue to arise ????? I will be at Sheffield tomorrow & at the Boro game, I would love to see "two stylish displays" that would allow you to honestly put two fingers up to me. And then hope for a continuation in Europe.... Oh I just woke up.

James, if you had read Steves’s post correctly you would see that he answered your concerns before you had even raised them. The reason we are lacking "flair, pattern or style" is because we are missing all our flair, pattern and style players!

Your comment about ticket distribution shows the lack of substance in your arguments. Royal Mail apologised for fucking up.

John Holmes.. I never suggested or even though of relagation, it reads lower league positions,or does survival satisfy you. Re -read your own article 24/9/07 our views do not differ greatly apart from your adoration of an extremely limited managemant team.
My absolute final post on my views of the present situation which I think I am allowed to have.
