Going going Gone!

Joorabchian, the Iranian agent of Carlos Tevez, is looking to buy a club. On BBC sports he says, 'If the right club with the right investment opportunities comes along I would be interested'.

This could be a dead set chance for Blue Bill to sell his train set and make a decent profit. Unlike some foreigners who suddenly wear the badge of their latest franchise on their heart this bloke Joorabchian is honest about his aims. Buy low, sell high and all for profit is the name of his game. How refreshing it is to hear someone speak the truth and not lie through his back teeth.

If such a deal could go through it would be win, win, win on all fronts. Instead of a liar, we would have an honest chairman who makes no bones about the fact that he is only in it for the money. He would probably use a slash and burn mission to get rid of all those misfits and incompetents we love to hate. Blue Bill and Buster OUT, half of the players OUT, Moyes and Irvine OUT! Oh it's enough to make many a mailbagger drool. Isn't that what so many of us have called for?

I wonder though, what price passion? Does our history have a price? Are we living beings or a mess of pottage to be sold to the highest bidder? Is that really and truly what we want?

Or are you winding us up Dick? Still, makes you think. For example, if you fear that Blue Bill is in favour of a cheap stadium in Kirkby - wait till you get a hardnosed businessman like Joorabchian! If you want pressure on the manager to ’win at all costs’ - yep, go for Joorabchian! I suspect such a type would be REALLY interested in the School of Science approach.

As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for...

What the hell is that thread?? Is it a joke?

So its now a good thing to have an investor that wants to bleed the club dry for his own gain? Its ok as long as your honest about it??

So if Peter Johnson had of come out and said "I’m only in it so I can afford to keep my Christmas hampers fom going bust" then it would all be ok and we would somehow overnight become a success?

Odd thread....very odd thread

i think if you read it again Dick is raising the question over dodgy foreign owners, and most fans in the premier league welcoming them with open arms, and whether those so keen to see the back of our current owners would want a dubious foreign business man in charge just because he has loadsa money. bit like the red shite fans with george bush’s best buddie in charge. I’m no advocate of the Kenwright regime, but if the alternative is the likes of Hicks, joorabchian or the thai at man city, then it puts me in a tricky position as to which is better.

Ian Kearney precisely sums up my sentiments on the subject of takeovers.
I shudder at what is happening to our game. Slowly but surely its destiny is being controlled by outsiders.

Why the hell would we want an Iranian in charge of our club?

One of our lads died in Basra this year because of Iranian bombs...use your head.

So basically if the richest Irishman in the world bought Everton you wouldn?t want him Gavin because the IRA bombed people here. Get a life dont compare a whole race or nationality on the actions of some.
