I won't forgive him for this

Some people say that one result alone should not decide a mangager's fate but as we await the game in Kharkiv tonight with huge anxiety, I beg to differ. Because if Everton are bundled out tonight I will say without hesitation that Moyes' time is up and he should be replaced. I will never forgive him if our European dream is destroyed due to his shocking tactical incompetence in the first leg.
Obviously, to people like Dodd this sort of talk is heresy, but he is clearly a bogus Evertonian anyway, whose ridiculous 'look at me' posts constantly undermine this website's credibility. The 1,500 Evertonians who have travelled to the Ukraine will be let down more than anyone if we fail tonight.
Talking of forgiveness, if Yakubu strolls around tonight as per usual, it will be the unforgiveable to those aforementioned fans. And who decided to waste 11 million big ones on Yakubu, when we were crying out for a midfield general and pacy wide player? Hang on, it will come to me in a minute...

I also disagree with the ’one result should decide moyes fate’. If it wasn’t for Moyes we wouldn’t be in europe anyway (probably). I for one am glad he’s raised the bar of expectancy so much that were gutted about a poor performance in europe and not consigned to a year in year out relegation fight! Give him time and he’ll continue to improve the good young squad we have and we’ll continue to improve as a team. Lets cut the negative crap and get behind the team for an important match!

We all remember Bent he used to run his arse off and I sure as hell don’t want him back. If all you want is to see someone running around like an idiot go and watch athletics.

Is it any coincidence that since Beattie has gone to Sheff Utd he’s scored goals as they’ve got crosses into him and played to his strengths. At boro and Portsmouth they built their play round Yakubu and got the ball into his feet or crosses into the box. It’s no good pumping balls into the channel and asking him to chase them! We should have an out and out left winger on the pitch (VDM anyone??) and Mikel on the right and watch him start scoring for fun with some decent service.

Also Lyndon’s comments about AY are spot-on: for as much as I’ve been livid at the lad’s snail impressions, the fact of the matter is that Moyes should have done his homework before signing him to assess just how he’s managed to score so many goals.
One thing’s sure, asking him to burn all over the pitch just in order to earn his "EFC Work Ethic" certificate isn’t gonna reap the same amount of goals.
Yakubu’s come as a real shock to me and I’ve really had to re-examine my mindset about "what I expect from an Everton striker" and whilst I consider showing some effort to be a minimum pre-requisite, it’s clear that Yakubu hasn’t scored so many goals from tear-arseing around the play seting up his own links in midfield and then haring into the box to finish off what he’s started.
Short and simple, he’s a very canny, arl-arse goal-hanger (eg Bolton away) and there’s more than a touch of Bob Latchford about him (a lazy bugger - but we forgive that now). Yep, 11 big ones is a lot of money for EFC and it’s wasted money if Moyes seeks to nullify half of AY’s effectiveness by insisting he empties his tank each game.
Now, as much as it goes against the grain, having just given licence to AY to strut around (coz he is reading, obviously!) I do demand an absolute shed-load of goals in return. And he ain’t gonna do that from the bench. Never mind a Catch 22 sitch, Moyes has created a Catch 44 dilemma regarding Yakubu. It to him to solve it - that’s why he bought him.

Another matchday, another negative rant.
How about waiting to see what happens tonight before going off on (yet another) one ?

Couldn’t agree more. I played right mid in my younger days and you want your striker running the shoulders of the last line of defenders.
Scares the life out of em if you are quick over 5-10 yds.
Just put the ball a yard or 2 in front of em, the rest if he is any good is history.

Basically, if you're going to spend that much money on a player, you have to play to his strengths and if that means 10 other players working their nuts off to get the ball to his feet in the box then so be it. You paid your money, now make the most of it. Expecting him to be Andy Johnson, mk II, cover every blade of grass in the final third and therefore not be in the box when he's really needed is a recipe for disaster...
