The Mail Bag

Metalist or Bill Bailey?

Dang! Booked tickets to see Bill Bailey a long time ago. Only it's tonight and despite looking forward to both today, I only just realsed the error! I've also been bailed on so would be going it alone. So, watch the match and blow the £40, or go the gig in Hammersmith with my mind on the game?

Can't you record the game while you attend the gig?

Nah, I’d have to go straight from work to the gig, doing a latey, and our DVD isn’t that high spec enough to phone home!

Screw it, I’m watching the match. I won’t enjoy it as much, but I won’t care that I’m missing Bill, where as I’d be preocupied too much to laugh if I did see him.
That’s my rationalisation anyway.
