The Euro Effect.

I think this season's UEFA Cup campaign is going to have a knock-on effect to Everton's league form.
In the past teams like West Ham have proven that qualifying for a Euro competition plays havoc on your league form resulting in a poor season (or even relegation if your Ipswich). So its undeniable that Everton's prolonged run in the UEFA Cup is distracting the players while all that travelling is tiring them.
On the plus side Everton's league form at the moment is still acceptable. Yes its been up and down but so far the boys have managed to stay in the Top 10. If Everton manage to mount a serious Uefa Cup campaign, I'm sure most of us would accept dropping a couple of places in the Premiership. After all we spent the summer demanding exactly that.
If Moyes manages to maintain the Top 10 position and keep Everton in the Uefa Cup (with maybe an FA or League Cup run) then he's doing a pretty fine job. Don't be too hard on the boys if they lose games like Newcastle away after a Euro fixture. For most of them this is their first Euro adventure and it's going to take time for them to adjust.

We are also unlucky as to who we play after the Wafer games,
The games coming up I believe include ManUre, Chavski after our Euro games.
I don’t hold much hope for them, also The Skunks are unbeaten at home so now a great game to have after playing 3 games in 9 days

The likes of Man Utd, Liverpool etc.. have had years of practice and have far larger squads to deal with the demands.
I’m not saying Newcastle beat Everton because of Europe. They are a good side and were better on the day.
What I am saying is that the Euro campaign will undoubtedly have a knock-on effect to our league performance.
It simply has to and we must accept that. Don’t you think we could cut the lads some slack as they could to grips with the extra demands?

But while Moyes is in charge I will continue to remain as positive as possible and not blindly blame everything on him.
Yes he’s made mistakes (Yakubu/picking Yobo over Stubbs) but I can also accept that other factors have an effect and even you have to agree that he Euro campaign will take a toll.
Your completely blind and blaming Moyes for everything is childish.

Yes I’d really love it if Moyes left tomorrow, but the only way I see it happening is if one of the Old Firm come knocking. The only other possibility is if there is a takeover, and I think there’s as much chance of that happening as a club-footed myopian troglodyte winning Wimbledon.
Oh and Dutch - I believe Michael asked that everyone used their own names from now on. If you want to share your opinions, share your name.

As for blaming people or holding anybody accountable for mistakes that are repeated again and again - almost to a point of being funny.

Oh Mr Marsh.............bless your smelly old cotton socks for having the guts to continue to rise to the bait.
The truth always hurts more than any lie , Tony , when it doesn’t suit the people who are hearing it .
