Okay... it's gonna be a quiet week. Now "played" normally requires there to have been first-team appearances... none of this Reserves / Academy at 12½ business!

From Wikipedia:

John Gidman (born January 10, 1954 in Liverpool, England) was an English football player. His favoured position was right back.

Gidman played for Liverpool before joining Aston Villa in 1971. He was signed by Everton in 1979 for £650,000. He then became Manchester United’s new manager Ron Atkinson’s first signing as he moved to United in 1981 as part of a £450,000 swap deal, with Mickey Thomas moving to Everton. He helped United win the FA Cup in 1983 and 1985. After scoring 4 goals in 120 appearances for United (including 4 substitute appearances), he left the club for rivals Manchester City in 1986. During his two seasons at City, the club was relegated to the Second Division. He then moved to Stoke City and Darlington, and retired after seeing his final club relegated to the Football Conference.

Gidman had 1 cap for England

Here’s another... which current Everton (mens) and international player has a brother who is the captain for another national team?
Steve Flanagan
19   Posted 11/10/2007 at 16:17:40

Beardsley has playe for all 4 clubs mentioned.

He made 1 League Cup appearance for Manchester United, and made 6 league appearances (1 as sub) for Manchester City at the back end of the 1997-98 season whilst on loan.

And the current Everton player with a brother is Tim Cahill, who’s younger brother Chris is captain of Samoa.

From FIFA.

Chris Cahill, whose elder brother Tim played for Australia in the 2006 FIFA World Cup? in Germany, described it all in a nutshell. Having been born to a Samoan mother, he was invited to play for the host island and even though he had no international experience, he was picked as the team?s captain too. ?Just the pride of playing of international football, of competing for your country and of making your family proud makes this all special for me,? he said.

So there.
