In Graeme Sharp's auto-biography, he says that Bobby Mimms was in goal for Betar Jerusalem in a friendly against Everton, while still an Everton player. Does anybody know why?

The other team didn’t have a goal keeper so he volunteered.

Oh Sharpie...............how I wish Mimms had played for Betar or anybody else instead of making an arse of that Cup Final against our red neighbours !

Yep - 20 minutes of madness in a game we should have comfortably won... I still get traumatised thinking about it ... we had Pat Jennings on standby that day - had he played (and Shaggy Stevens not mad that suicidal clearence) we surely would have won..
