Lescott/Campbell

I've hard today on the BBC that McLaren is likely to play Campbell instead of Lescott. Although being an Evertonian, I am of course biased towards Lescott, but I really cannot understand how Campbell has been picked above Lescott.

Ok, so Lescott does not have the experience Campbell does but he is in my opinion a far superior defender and at the moment something approaching a prolific goal scorer! There is more than enough experience in the England back line with the likes of Ferdinand and Cole. I think it's time McLaren got some guts and picks the best players for the job. Who's betting he picks Lampard over Barry?

McLaren is an areshole first class and I wouldn’t let him pick his nose let alone Englands national team..C’mon the Republic of Ireland!!

To be fair to McLaren this is a must win game,and I would say Lescott has been a better player premiership player than Campbell,this season and last, but I would think McLaren has gone for the experience of Campbell at international level.
