Tickets for Larissa

Comments (12)

The naivety and ineptness of the administration at this club just gets worse by the day. The UEFA tickets for the Larissa game:

Having got to the excuse of a box office with its six windows (with microphones not working at some) but eventually getting served, I'm still not happy at the admin for tickets for this game and can see reall chaos ensuing on the night.

Unless we asked we were not even given so much as a receipt for money handed over — just told, "yes, that is fine, your card has been credited." What is preventing any unscrupulous season ticket holder arriving on the night, saying they handed over the money for a ticket but for some reason their card has not registered? Why was it so hard to not give us all proper tickets OR even a receipt unless we asked — god help us if we are drawn against a major team and have 2 other cup runs on and the box office are attempting to sell tickets for all games at once.

Why is it so difficult for the stewards to be able to organise different queues — ie: 1 for fans wanting tickets for more than game, 1 for those paying cash, 1 for credit cards — pitiful, pitiful, pitiful...

I have to agree. I signed up for the priority home cup ticket scheme. To be fair, this works well with tickets arriving the day after they go on sale usually. I was concerned over the postal strike and asked what was happening when I went to Goodison for my Derby County tickets and was told that our season tickets would be activated. The only way we would hear anything, would be if the payment failed. In principal this is a great idea, save postage etc. But I like you have my doubts. I am going to get there very early to make sure! I also agree about the different windows - could have Home, Away, Cup etc. Surely it would be easier for the staff too.

I rang the box office on Thursday to order my tickets and was pleasantly surprised that the phone was answered promptly, non of this ’you’re queue position is’ malarky, then the guy asked for the appropriate numbers and to my utter disbelief said that my season ticket would be activated and to just swipe it as normal.
It took me a moment or two to absorb this information and indeed pick myself off the floor!
Well done Everton, the 21st century has finally arrived.
There will still be issues with paper tickets no doubt but I bet the club got a right old rollocking from UEFA after the ticketing fiasco v Metalist.
I’ll be setting off that bit earlier for the Larissa game just in case something does go wrong though!

I made a 2.00pm appointment to take my cat to the vets yesterday. I got there at 1.59pm and despite there only being me in the waiting room we didn’t get seen untill 2.15. This really isn’t good enough and I dread to think what might have happened had there ben a local outbreak of bird flu, foot and mouth orBSE. It beggars belief it really does.

I have got a weeping sore on my left earlobe. I queued for forty five minutes at the box office prior to the Bolton game. The girl on the counter just looked at me blankly and suggested that I "go to the doctor".

Thanks a lot Everton.

I rang on Thursday morning following a disastrous attempt to buy tickets for the derby online. When I asked if there were any tickets left for the derby I was asked which game that was - I kid you not! Apparently they have e-mailed everybody with new cutomer numbers for use when buying online but they didn’t mark this in the subject line so I deleted it thinking it was just your usual daily e-mail from the club. Surely I can’t be the only person to have done this?!

Just used the dial a seat service for the Larissa game. Very quick and efficient - plus the the lady taking my call was very pleasant and extremely helpful. No post problems as I can use my season card. By he way Carolyn our next two games are the derby game on the 20th and the Derby game on the 28th so probably a fair question actually!!

I ordered my tickets for the liverpool game by pigeon, but after they made it queue for two hours it got its beak stuck in the window, then the machine ate my credit card and fat Keith ate the pidgeon.

Shambles.

I’m on this cup priority scheme too but i’m still waitin for my Metalist ticket to arrive after Everton said it was Royal Mail’s fault they hadn’t been delivered. I have it on very good,no,certain authority that the postie driver was told that the bag with Metalist tickets in was to be left until the next day(Tuesday) to be collected and not when he went to pick it up(on the Monday)... It’s a good job i went down on the Wednesday before to pick a replacement up.They even asked if the money had been taken outta my account, which it had 2 WEEKS before! :-( Everton’s admin,or whoever are shite,a total fuck up no matter what they do..And you want these people to build a new ground..?! :-(

yeah .. point taken , a bit of an over-reaction , I stand chastened , but you’ve got to admit , their record of efficiency sometimes leaves a lot to be desired , ask those waiting in a queue outside the bullens road office before the Metalist game
