Tickets and the postal strike

Comments (10)

Does anybody know what is happening with tickets being sent through the post with the strike going on?

I registered for the cup priority scheme and I'm waiting on my tickets for the Larissa game... I've tried to get through to EFC but no joy as I'm 60th in the queue... and I've got a job to do! It would be nice for the management to have released a statement in the local press but that's EFC for yer!

There’s a huge backlogue as a result of last weeks strike action, though as long as there sent first class they should still reach you by friday, probably earlier.

I think they are activating the smart cards which we currently have to gain entry to the ground. I have just phoned up for a ticket for the Larissa game and the harassed girl said my season ticket card is now activated. However I am worried that for any reason it does not work, I have no proof to show I have paid!!!!

You are correct, Season tickets are being activated. I asked if mine could be checked when I went for other tickets today, as I was sceptical. They indeed have been so I should be able to get in

I have faxed Everton asking for someone to call me as we have registered with cup priority scheme, no reply as usual.
Had a reply from the big man himself Mr. Wyness over the last fiasco and he said and I quote "Occassionaly as in your case, the tickets did not arrive for reasons beyond our control. In that situation, as we have stated previously, you can receive re-printed tickets from the Bullen Road after 4.00pm. We do not anticpate ;major queues at this stage and are sorry for the inconvience this may have cause". GOT THAT WRONG

Ordered my Derby tickets last Tuesday and still no sign of them. I’m stuck offshore and the missus couldn’t give a flying fuck wether they arrive or not, a bit like the EFC box office..!! I’m going straight to Goodison on Friday to sort this out.

Apparently, you can still request paper tickets for the Larrissa game - you need to turn up on the night and ask at the box office.....

Yeah, it’s Everton FC’s fault that the Liverpool posties are on an unofficial strike isn’t it?

I had my season ticket activated within a minute so I have no problem with them but that’s EFC for yer!

No it is not Everton’s fault that the Liverpool posties are are unoffical strike, it is the non committment with regard to what they need to do about the situation with regard to getting people tickets. If they were a business - they would be out of business. A simple statement on the EFC website to inform the "customers" that is the fans, would let people know what the options are and maybe their phone lines would not be tied up with frustrated fans trying to get through!!!

Yeah, I’m in Dublin and I haven’t got my tickets yet for the Liverpool game on Saturday. It’s wednesday morning and I’m starting to get a bit worried that they won’t arrive!!!

Same here Damien - I’m in Dundalk waiting on my ticket also. Rang the club three times on Monday but kept getting cut off so mailed the box office to find out the storey but two days later and still no response so sent another one off this morning. The money has been taken from my credit card so i’m reasonably confident i’ll be ok but would be re-assuring if you could even contact the club.
They really should sort this out - its been going on for a while. Hire a couple more staff FFS! It’s not going to break the bank
