Parking...any ideas?

Comments (22)

After successfully managing to get hold of two tickets for Saturday, it's suddenly dawned on me that I've not driven to a game for absolutely ages, and as such, I've got absolutely no idea what the score is with parking nowadays. Has the old Stanley Park parking area been shut due to Anfield's imminent move? If so, can anybody suggest some suitable parking areas for me and my wife pretty close to the ground? We're coming in from the South Manchester area and ideally would like to be pretty close to the ground as she's "with child" as it were....

Cheers in advance.

The Elm Tree pub or BP garage next door are good places to park. They are on Westiminter Road and 5 minutes from the ground. Car park is £4 or £5. They are both manned as well throughout the game.

You can get away pretty quickly afterwards as well.

Be careful parking in any of the streets around Priory Road as you might get collared for not having a pass for the area; we usually park up in Utting Avenue (off Queens Drive) and walk down Priory Road alongside Stanly Park.

The following link might help.

James
As season ticket holder who drive from Cheshire for every game, I have found that the Alsop School behind Walton Church is handy for getting to and from. It costs £4 and is secure, just don’t be tempted to park on the side streets.

I drive up from Carmarthen, South Wales and when I came to the opening game of the season against Wigan, I remember there was parking in Everton Valley which I think was a new area with about a mile to walk from there.

Anyone give more specific instructions?

Enjoy the game James - lets hope its in our favour and that your wife does no get too excited or there might be three of you going home!!

Today, an Everton FC spokesman said: ?We still hope tickets will get through and we are in talks with Royal Mail.

?If it become clear that tickets will not reach their destination we will make an announcement on the website.

?We would ask fans not to panic. We understand their apprehension bearing in mind the tickets that went missing for the Metalist Kharkiv game.?

WHAT SORT OF ARSEHOLES ARE IN THAT TICKET OFFICE THE STRIKE IS STILL ON AND THE BACKLOG WILL TAKE ABOUT A WEEK TO CLEAR.

Cant tell you where I park because you may park there instead of me but I get away quick. Only problem is local residents put their wheely bins outside to block you parking there.

There is a car park by Queen’s drive baths, just next to the flyover. There is a banner on the wall saying secure car parking, so if you are coming through Walton/AIntree you can’t miss it.

I’m pretty sure you will find Stanley Park car park open until December, but it’s £8.

I got the impression last time I used it that car park season ticket holders have been moved elsewhere, so now there’s more room in it. But I could be wrong.

Once that closes, with something in the region of 800 spaces, I’ll be interested to see how matchday parking pans out.

Also, I understand that once LFC start building, the on-street parking restrictions in that area will be extended. But I could be wrong.

I think we’ll win 7-0 on Saturday. But I could be wrong.

Are we blaming Everton ticket office for the greedy twats at the post office being on strike? GET BACK TO WORK YOU LAZY BASTARDS!

NO Mark Dodd, we are blaiming the Everton ticket office for not making alternative arrangements as there is a postal strike and their non reaction to it.

get one of those cars from the spy who loved me and park it in the mersey. At least it would not get vandalised and it will reduce the risk of theft. cant really see roger moore in everton strip with beauitful women turning up at goodison though.

We always park in the Bingo car park near the Carisbrook (on Carisbrook Rd). It’s only a two minute walk from there. It’ll set you back £5 and you might have to get there early.

If the tickets had gone on sale 3 weeks before the game as usual and not 12 days there wouldn’t of been a problem. The management, or lack of it, at the club never ceases to amaze me. Now we’ve all got to look forward to another enjoyable free for all in the Bullens Road on Saturday which will be even worse than the Mentalist debacle
