The Mail Bag
Painful loss

OK so following on from what you all had to say about England's loss in midweek, I guess this is also "bad luck" "just a game" and "one of those things." I know a lot of you also take up for Gerrard and Carragher whenever I mention them but the former is a diver and the latter a whinge bag. Both are overrated and it pains me to lose to these pricks because they actually suck. Gerrard never used to be a diver but since the Villa game this season it seems that he loves to hit the deck and what was up with Carragher having his head in his hands every five second and crying to the ref?
Also talking of homegrown talents Hibbert (like Rooney in midweek) changed the game with a stupid mistake. How could he expect to run alongside Gerrard without that prick diving? Also ,why the hell didn't Kuyt get sent off for a two-footed kung fu kick that would have got him arrested had it happened anywhere but on the field?
Another thing I noticed is that when wearing a suit Moyes looks like some sort of pop star from 1981 which is weird. Finally we all know Howard is pretty crap so why handball to stop a certain goal when you know it will lead to a certain goal via the penalty and a red card and ban as well?

Playing goalkeeper with the last kick of the game shows absolute devotion to the cause. Phil - I take my hat off to you - you do care. All true supporters would probably have done the same...those who just collect the salary wouldnt dreamt of doing it....
He's gone up 1000% in my book. Legend.

Then two penalties not given to Everton. The final one over Lescot it's unbelieveble. Of course the rats dominated the second half but we were in 10. I liked very much Lescot, Osman, Anichebe. Not so well Arteta. I don't like his game when he don't go to the net. Good touch, good control, but in circles, you are getting nowwhere. Moyes was very courage to be in ten and have the same atittude. I like the blues. When we do have Cahill, Gravesen, Johnson we can compete with anybody. Still as most as you fellow blues, i think one or two more great midfielders could turn us from a good team to a top team.
i'm so gutted to lose to this red pricks...I must pay a lunch to a british partner from a company that is coming to Portugal on tuesday. He's red....

The Blues, however, were calm, accepted the ref's decisions no matter how retarded and obvious (see Lescott's would-be penalty in injury time). When McFadden was booked he stood there like a man, while Carragher ran around like a little girl crying his eyes out.
No I didn't like the result, but I'm still proud of our boys. They totally embody the Everton spirit.

But i disagree with your comment about Neville’s handball. I think it was a brave thing to do. Remember that Howard almost stopped the goal.
Also about DM’s dress. He looks better, IMHO, in a suit.
But, for me, today it was all about the referee. Absolutely disgraceful!

Tony Hoofball Hibbert had been frustrating throughout the first half with his hoofing the ball the RS’s heads.
Then he committed suicide first by failing to clear a header in the centre circle he was easily first too and then the clumsy challenge on Gerrard. If Howard would of come out and smothered the attempt the score would of remained 1-0 and we still have 11 on the pitch. Sorry Hibbo but the time to go has come old son your just not up to the job which is a shame as your a local lad.
