Clattenburg the Red

Comments (15)

What a fucking disgrace of a refferee Mark Clattenburg is. Fucking red through and through. How he didnt give at least one of the two blatant stone wall penalties is beyond me. Never gave any 50/50 decisions to us, and always gave free kicks to Liverpool when Victor was challenging when he should have had the decision. And changing his mind when questioned by that cunt Gerrard when fouled for their first pen. Unprofessional to the max. Prick. Hope we never get him again. Relegate him to League 2, looks about his level.

Clive Thomas has finally been dethroned by the abovementioned, for obvious reasons. I will let the more sadomasochistic ones among our yee faithful to dissect the match in each seconded detail while I bury my head in my pillow tonight. Sleep well, dear Evertonians.

At least, our boys made us proud today! Total commitment and passion!
I’m proud today, yet furious.

Clattenburg, a disgrace!

He reminds me of a ref we’ve seen in many years ’doing wonders’ for Juve here in Italy...It was sickening even worse than Graham liverPoll, nevertheless allowing a counter attack when you’re one up is criminal and unfortunately for efc, it was the turning point of the game.
Up the Blues!

that was the most shocking refereeing performance i’ve witnessed, i’ve never felt so angry after a game of football, i don’t want to see this fraud referee another one of our games.

Where does Gerrard get the authority to tell a ref what he wants when he wants? Last minute at Villa he pretty much tells the ref to give him a free kick and presto, a free kick is given and thus scored. Mark Battenburg today gets the yellow out to book Hibbert after the penalty incident (which I agree was a pen to them) gerrard walks to him and tells him he was clean through and Hibbert should go! thus the yellow goes back in the pocket and the red is then given!

Sometimes you do get the impression that a ref wants a specific team to win! kuyt should have been off for the jet li kick! How Lescott didnt get a pen was beyond me! The reason I say this as too often a referee makes mistake against a particular team but the other gets the rub of the green!

All in all we didnt do enough to win today, team selection was a little strange, and we looked all over the place early on but a loss is a little harsh on the team. I hate it that players like Gerrard are allowed to get above their stations to influence a ref into making decisions.

They had him in their pockets and they knew it. For a professional referee to turn in a performance like that was a disgrace. The two penalties you couldn’t argue with but there were plenty of incidents more were he bottled it and didn’t want to offend them. This happens far to often now and the so called big four can never be challenged with this type of refreeing.

Jamie Redknapp also thinks there were NO fouls on Lescott. Even after watching conclusive proof on TV cameras. He even said Kuyts tackle was silly and deserved yellow not red. It seems intent does not matter now.

I fear for football when the FA allow refs to carry on like that today, and it will get worse when TV pundits are allowed to say things that prove they are stupid when it’s stearing them in the face.

I hope Moyes asks Keith Hackett to get Clattenberg to apologise, It’s certainly deserved.

Clattenburg shaking hands with Gerrard when he was subbed was a shocking gesture, didnt look very neutral did it!
I dont mind carragher but gerrard I cant stand!

Totally agree Mike - shaking Gerrard's hand at the end of the game is fine, but in the middle of it right when he was getting abuse from the fans for cheating was a bit stupid. That summed up Clattenburg?s performance today and he surely should be sent out in front of MotD to explain and apologise.

Yes, I’d forgotten the handshake. Looks like Clattenberg was in awe of Stevie G. Also, did you notice Carragher with his arms all round the official.

It may sound extreme but I do believe teams like Everton are never going to win certain games! I mean a neutral could say the ref had a bad game, but with it happening over and over again season after season and the same teams getting the rub of the green like the shite and utd it becomes more than a bad day, it starts to look like their is an alterior motive ( or am i reading too much into this).
Benitez says certain players should be given protection, why? just watched the sunday motd, it has enraged me further! When will the FA do something about the standard of football? can you get good migrant refs from Poland?

the only thing the ref forgot to do was wear his red scarf. the ref should be ashamed of himself when watches the replay sorry replays.gerrard nearly dived into the goal he,s been watching to many franny lee videos ,hibbert never touched him and he got tony sent off with his little chat to the ref.lescott played a blinder fully comitted to the blue cause and the team is coming together who needs 50 million, any way we were robbed
