Time for the FA and Ref's Association to take action

Comments (7)

I'm writing this still fuming from today's events but I hope to put across a focused argument!

We have lost two players for 3 games, I will leave the arguments about whether either of them will be much of a loss to everybody else. However, when one was sent off purely due to two disgraceful actions of the oppositions captain, it's about time for the FA to step in and take action.

Less than 3 days after complaining about Russia's penalty Gerrard does exactly the same thing. I'm not sure how he was denied a goalscoring opportunity after his miss midweek either!! However, to then change the referee's mind from yellow to red is an action that should be dealth with severely by the FA and Premier League.

As for the ref, where do you start? Influenced by Liverpool players over every decision, only giving Kuyt a yellow for a two-footed challenge that is, in the laws of the game a sending off offence, and then bottling a penalty decision that Stevie Wonder could have given.

I hope Mr Clackett, as head of the referees, gets given a copy of the game and takes action. It won't give us the points we more than deserved from the game but it might rid us of yet another cowardly man in black. I did read a comment saying he should end up officiating a woman's match ? not really fair on the ladies that!!!!

Well I’ll stick my neck on the line and state that I think Clattenberg is one of the PL’s better referees. Although how he didn’t give Kuyt a red card is beyond me.

What irritates me most of all is not his bad decsions today (I still haven’t seen the Lescott incident again as I sit at the back of the PE Stand) but the constant whingeing and harassment from Carragher and Gerrard.

if the FA stamped down on such undermining behaviour, maybe the standard of refereeing might just improve. At the moment, the game is unmanageable by one single official.

I’m in shock.....I felt sick watching those red shites celebrating at the final whistle. Carragher (apparently an everton fan with an everton tattoo on his upper arm, reason he doesn’t wear short-sleeved shirts?!) clearly wrestled Joleon to the ground, I honestly believe that if refs could watch replays then we would have been given a pen and hibbert would not have been penalised, let alone red carded.

It’s so much more frustrating to lose when you know you don’t deserve it!

It was fooking disgraceful.

How that ref never gave the penalty when Carragher wrestled Lescott to the grounf I have no idea. I walked into Orrys after the game not knowing how bad it was and then Sky showed it three times, that shows how blatent it was.

I used to respect Carragher but have lost every single oune after that game, every single decision, no matter if it was correct or not was questioned by him and for a ref to be persuaded to give a red instead of a yellow to Hibbo was absolutely disgusting.

Those coonts got a ref sent down to the fizzy drink league for a dodgy decision against them, what the fook happens to Battenberg for giving a dodgy first pen and refusing a stone wall pen, where his line of sight was ideal? Fuck all that’s what because we are not part of the "big four"

We were raped today, no question about it.

Come on, Blatherwick fanatical Liverpudlian, Gerrard vice captain of the national team, does anyone really believe that action will be taken against him? Look at pre season, when they played Feyenoord in a friendly, Gerrard punched Royston Drenthe, and although it was only a friendly, any other player at any other club would have been punished.

Dont hold much hope for any justice,Its well known there is two sets of rules one for the so called top 4 and one for the rest, think back when have we ever played one of those teams and had a fair ref.

Another match in which the referee has cost Everton the game. Moyes was spot on in saying that if he could not see the foul on Lescott then he should not be refereeing. And as for the england captain what a shithouse, compare that to the Rugby no wonder people are turning away from the prima donnas of the Premier League. I just fucking hate the rs murdering bastards.
