Is Moyes too Nice?

Comments (3)

Still hurting from yesterdays result and it got me asking a few questions about our manager. One of them I will pose to you now: 'Is Moyes too Nice?'

I pose this question in relation to his comments/actions over the years to the governing body and towards refs. I believe he's too nice. Take yesterdays result for example. Mourinho (yes I know he's been assed) Benitez, Ferguson and Wenger would have been sent to the stands through remomstrating over Clattenburg's decisions. They would sacrifice fines and suspension in defence of such refereeing!!

It just seems to me that he needs to make a stronger stand against such shit refereeing, even if it means sacrificing a few bucks. And for those Moyes lovers, I'm not blaming him for the result, I just feel his actions against such injustice could help in the future.

More importantly he’s not too good. He’s already too ’full of sound and fury signifying nothing’. Yesterday we see him all teeth knashing and manic after the ridiculous Lescott non-pen decision. Perfectly reflecting our own feelings no doubt. Today we can read his ’Moyes rage’ article on the official site and probably we’d agree with most points raised. However the fact remains that yesterday after playing 90 minutes at home against a very ordinary Liverpool side we failed to muster one shot on target. There was a total lack of link up play between defence, midfield and forward lines. Repeatedly Liverpool were left to wander around the middle of the park freely as our midfield fell deep. Our forwards isolated awaiting arrival of the next hopeful/less punt up the park. I’m beginning to suspect that his ’in your face’ touchline motivational rants are as much about masking uninspired team selection and lacking in real tactical nous. Meantimes.. perhaps someone should ask the official site to change the ’Christmas at Goodison’ welcome banner - after Saturdays giveaway visiting teams might begin to get the wrong idea.

More important than sounding off from the touchline and getting sent to the stands, what is the club doing about this today? The club should file an official complaint against Clattenburg and at least have him kept away from future Everton matches. You think Liverpool, or Chelsea or Mancheter Utd or Arsenal would stay silent? I don’t. By doing nothing they condone what hapened.

It’s not being "nice", it’s being professional. He’s a coach, not a fucking sideshow like Mourinho was and Benetiz is turning out to be.
I agree though, the club should file a complaint, and soon.
