They won the cup?

Comments (26)

The Derby defeat taught me several things.

Firstly, and I already suspected this anyway. Gerrard is an out-and-out shithouse. Not only did he dive for their so-called penalty (watch it again and note the splayed legs which betray the fact that the "fall" was intentional and controlled) but he also encouraged the ref to send off Hibbert (which in itself is a bookable offence).

Secondly: Benitez is a bitter man with no class or manners. Past RS managers have showed a certain amount of dercorum after a game like that, but him!!! It just shows how frightened he is about spending all that cash and having no hope of winning the Premiership.

Thirdly: How many times have you heard the RS comment how "you'd think they'd won the effin' league the way they celebrated at the end"...Hmmm watch the Sky coverage again and take a look at THEM celebrating...it seems that we've become THEIR cup final.

Fourthly: Some referees have no bottle when they see a man take to the air and launch himself at an opponent in what can only be described as an "assault". Perhaps we should have played them at their own game by getting Neville to make a big deal of it (which he didn't) or getting the rest of the team to surround the ref in a rage (which they didn't).....

If that game taught me one thing, it's to thank my lucky stars I was born an Evertonian and not one of those shithouses!

Spot on Brian and I feel a tiny bit better after reading your article.

I said in an earlier post that Benitez is an obnoxious twat and is an embarrassment to LFC; he talks utter shite. I am really interested in knowing his previous interviews before he came over to the prem, was he a gobshite then or has the prem and influence of being the LFC boss changed him!

I was right in line with Gerrard when he "dived" and was convinced then that he did dive; going over the reply on TV confirms I was right. His right leg just goes and there is no contact at all; also, I was slating Hibbert for not making more of a challenge in the middle of the park before the ball was played to Gerrard but it looks like he wouldn’t of got to it on TV, had he attempted he might of been in no mans land with Gerrard off towards goal with know one with him!

Like you say, Neville the typical proffesional after Kuynt could of ended his career; can you imaging if that was Neville lunging in on Gerrard or Charrager!

Yes, I am the same as you Brian, proud to be a blue after watching that shower of shite and I look forward to seeing them getting beat in their next two games.

COYB!

Yeah, and another thing, look at the way Carragher was chopsing the Ref all the time and didn’t even get a yellow card.

Sorry I almost believe the Ref took a bung and as for that little fat, fat, Spanish Waiter and his team, I hope to God they get thumped in Turkey.

I agree with you, Brian, on everything you said.

Can you imagine the 1st penalty incident happening the other way?

Andy Johnson is charging clear on goal, Carragher comes in with his challenge and Andy goes down under the challenge.

Do you think we would have been given a penalty ? Thought not !

You would have seen the RS players crowding around the referee before he pulls out his card. If we are lucky, referee then limply points to a free-kick outside the area and hands out a yellow card to the RS player. (If the referee was Clattenburg, he would have simply waved play on).

Maybe, Moyes, should start a special training routine at Finch Farm:
How to scream in agony, and clutch your legs - faces contorted in agony, when given the slightest nudge on the shoulder.
How to surround the referee immediately after a foul by the referee on your colleague and try to influence the official.
Special "diving" lessons

But, you are right. We are BLUEs, and we are proud of our players and their professionalism. Well done, Hibbert, Neville and Moyes. You epitomise the dignity of being Evertonian.

Good post Ajay apart from where you applaud Hibbert, he was daft enough to get suckered in by that cheat Gerrard.

He should have simply went through him on the half way line and took a yellow, perhaps it is possible he may not have made it however he should have made sure that Gerrard certainly didn’t.

watched the johnson derby again yesterday, as well as the Milan final (this year!) and also the michael thomas at anfield in 89. Felt better after the previous days episode. The days of impartial referreing if indeed it ever existed have sadly gone out the window. How many more weeks, months and years is this club going to falter or not progress because of mickey mouse officials. What I would have given for five minutes in a room without windows with that consummate dickhead referee on saturday. It would be interesting to see in the unlikely event that the red scum gets to a final with that "man" in charge. Surely referees have a favorite team dont they? We know where clatterburgs leanings are for sure, but cant we have a toffee in the middle. PS Nice to benitez get his usual snide remarks in yet again in the post match analysis. Will that man ever grow up. At least with the club he has hes in good company. Miserable red shite.

Gerrard is an out-and-out shithouse - well said Brain My sentiments exactly. Historically I have hated the likes of Bellamy and Savage with a vengence (and not because they are welsh but for the people they are, their values- or lack of and the way they conduct themselves) but over recent years Gerrard has moved up their and now overtaken them. Any honest liverpool fan (if there is such a thing) would not be proud of Gerrard, Carragher and Kuyts performance over the weekend. Shooting is too go for them.

Why don’t we all email the FA and that cunt Barwick and ask him what they are goin’ to do about cheats in the game. It is ruining it. Referee’s are shit and not accountable at all; diving is CHEATING and these twats should be punished.

These post match derby debates have taken more than a pummeling than steven gerrards mothers anus! - How the likes of kuyt - our something that sounds similiar - the said gerrard, carragher and benny hill-tez could have slept soundly on saturday night is questionable. While its acceptable to try and take out one of our players and no sending off occurs, another man can be given an early bath because an opposing player has a quick word with the referee. I hope in the return at analfield the likes of gravesen, carsley and such players can go into tackles on liverpool players and show what a red card offence really is. Also if clattenbastard is in charge of THAT game that someone sneaks a shotgun into the arena and puts the poor man out of his misery. We did not lose on saturday. We were screwed. Its hardly the first time this has happened and sadly it will not be the last.

It just shows that Gerrard is the darling of the media. After watching replays and reading reports on the game,I couldn’t find even one of the spineless shithouse members of the media call him a cheat for the dive or for his words with the ref to get Hibbert sent off.I bet you any money if that would have been the likes of Ronaldo it would have been front page news.

No point going to the FA. Barwick is a fucking red too. Look what happened when we finished fourth and they finished beneath us. Barwick says we cant have that, lets lobby to my bum chums at UEFA to see if they will break their own rules and let my beloved reds in, even though UEFA themselves said no way prior to the appeal. And in they went. Gits, the whole lot of them!!!!!

I?m not a violent person, but I really wish that someone would get hold of Benitez and sort him out physically and violently once and for all. The man is a complete and utter arsehole with no class, no manners and no humility. Oh, and he?s a crap manager as well.

Two things Dave. Yes of course benitez is all things youve mentioned, and more- and as for gerrard i cannot state my dislike for the son of a bitch enough , but a crap manager not really. As much as i hate to say it reaching two european cup finals in as many calendar years, and domestic honours as well in the short time in charge is a significant achievement. But some comfort can be taken in knowing that the shite will win sweet fanny adams this season. but then again if clattenburg is in charge of enough games for them, a quadruple at analfield is a distinct possibility. watch this space!

Before 1964 liverpool were nothing. until shankly came along they were the merseyside equivalent of tranmere rovers. while the greats of dean, lawton, mercer and hickson were putting our great club in the history books they were in a permanent slumber. Fourty years on and over the years i have had to endure countless taunts following defeats by the shite. most notably at the end of the 1985/86 seson when a double was there for the taking and it ended up elsewhere!
Maybe in years to come, all the money will drain out of anfield, they will have to work on a shoestring budget and will slide down the leagues and do a leeds, or even go out of business like wimbledon. I know damn well that scenario will never see the light of day but it would be a lot of fun nethertheless.
one more thing. i have supported toffees now since 1984. At that time the shite were the best team in europe. It would have been so easy for me to choose them. But thankfully i chose this club, and i am eternally grateful for that. its a been a rough ride along the years but its been fun to have been (and still be) a blue.

Agree with Albert I am prouder to be a blue than a red more. Benitez is indeed a nasty piece of work and although some managers wind other people up there is no need to be downright nasty and direspectful. He will get landed soon. Best thing is though that I think its the last time we will see either the fat spanish waiter or Stevie Cheat playing a league game at goodison again. Liverpool are nowhere near league champion material so it will bye bye to the big spender and Gerrard will leave for the 3rd time...Even decent kopites cringed at his remarks and the way they won as I got not One text from the gloating

Yesterday I visited my son-in -law , now in Scotland. He actualy played at for Liverpool Res’s for a few years in the past. He was so ashamed of the Liverpool players anctics & the despicable little Spanish Shit’s attitude, he would not even discuss the Derby. His only real comment.... " we were always told to appeal, moan or claim for everything you could get and to keep at the referee, eventually he will give something"....They must still drum that in today , there players & Utd never stop badgering. Just watch Gerrard like at Villa earlier in the season & again on Sat, this attitude prevails thro to the supporters who firmly believe they are always right in everything. Over the years they have got away with loads, think of there penalty’s success , numerous shoot-outs, FA Cup win ?, Champs League win?, and now the Derby ? all very dodgy.. None of it will change Sat’s result but surley at some time it has to rebound on them. It was so blatently unfair on Saturday that a miracle happened. Hansen & Shearer on MOTD actually agreed with Everton saying Gerrard influenced the ref and the Kuyt "Kung Fu "& Carragher "Pull down" were not just fouls but in there words both "an assault."

couldnt agree more with brian’s article .matt ’s response was spot on.gerrard has been doing it for years,(the naysmith ’tackle- - for which he still holds the anfield long jump record’, the ghost penalty first game of the season last year against sheffield utd’,and now the splayed leg fall on saturday).have you ever seen anybody’s body react like that whilst in full flight?but because of the cult of personality that the premier league uses to sell itself, especially abroard like over here in the u.s. where i now live, nobody in the media says anything.they’d be immediately shipped off if they did.sky uses ’star power’ around the globe pumping up the likes of gerrard, rooney, formerly henry, even mourinho to create media buzz, and perpetual talking points.it doesnt matter whether they are actually talking about the playing of the game of football. infact, the salacious gossip of transfers, and behind the scenes shennanigans of the players is preferrable since then no actual knowledge of the game is required, and the number of people potentially interested increases exponentially..as long as there is talk.keep the pot bubbling.all these controversial refereeing decisions just pay into the grand scheme.to call geard a cheat would only be a slur on one of their glossy superstar images which they so meticulously manicure.thus the need for ’the big four’, and why they dont want anybody else impinging on their closed shop.how would they sell a team without ’stars’ like us or blackburn?hollywood does the same thing with its movies.the referees, and the favourable decisions they consitantly make for the likes of man u,only helps to reinforce, and solidify the system.rather than being corrupt i feel the refs are pressured by the whole system.even graham poll said as much after retiring.

Spot on post agree with everything.
A couple of other points of note,
The ref lost his bottle when he should have booked Reina for throwing the ball away but didn’t when he was surrounded for the umptenth time!
The way he called Gerrard back and shook his hand when he was subed.
Lastly the Carragher interview any ounce of respect that i did have for him has totaly gone now
