Some Nuremberg Thoughts

Comments (9)

1. Does anyone agree with me that based on the price of the tickets that the £399 day package to Nuremberg is a little bit steep?

2. Does anyone actually know how many tickets Everton received and why Everton don't actually tell us?

3. If by any chance there are tickets on General sale next week do you think the club will actually state the amount or let us guess, queue up for ages only to be told that there were 150 tickets?

The one major problem with our club (that has a fan charter) is the poor communications between them and us, the poor fans.

I could be wrong — I've been distant from the announcements dealing with computer problems — but didn't they announce the allocation (c. 2,600?) last week?

I have been phoning and watching Goodison like a hawk, and to my knowledge they have not released any allocation figures. Fact of the matter is that English fans are not wanted on the continent.

I have been watching the website every day since the uefa draw for the group stage and am desperate to go to Germany. The club have not revealed our allocation but a friend at the club did reveal we got just over 2,000 tickets. It is a nightmare getting tickets/information from Everton and the only consolation is that my kopite and manc friends at work tell me that their clubs are exactly the same.

Dont know if it helps but I asked the club and was told "just on 2000". I think the official travel people will take over 1200 to offer a seat to everyone who visited the Ukraine.I know they are taking an extra plane so they mustve sold all their tickets already.

I got told on saturday Everton were offerd 2100 tickets but they may get another 1500 from Nurenberg not sure if this will happen. I made my own travel plans, flights, train from Frankfurt and 2 star hotel for 2 nights £230.

Everton travel informed me last week that our full allocation was 2900, of which 900 were reserved for the offical travel packages.

I think its fair to say that its alot easier to make your own plans these days. OK you have to rely on the club to some extent to get a ticket, but the rest of it you’re way better off sorting it out yourself has Peter said..

I agree the day package is way overpriced. I’ve booked a four day stay in Munich, with travel to the game and flights for £230. I’ve given up on general release tickets and enlisted a German Colleague to help me get a ticket from FC Nuremburg. They will have 7-8000 on sale from Monday morning.

Sounds like the going rate to me, I would just like to digress though about the people the club employ behind the scenes and want to know who is responsible for it.
Our ticket office is a shambles.
I went there 3 times between the Boro game and the Shite game as my season ticket was defectie, finally at the third visit after 1 1/2hrs in a queue i got it back, the second time they gave me a wrong seat number. When I got to the turnstile it was defective still, the guy let me in and I went back on Monday and got a new one again. By the size of the queues loads are defective. They also activated the ticket for the Larissa game but I am not holding my breath.
Also the half time hit the bar competition was a bit of a farce, which proves again we have some numbskulls working behind the scenes at Goodison, they guy hit the bar twice but appeared to take 4 kicks so i dont know what was said to him but i would be a bit pissed off to have a signed shirt instead of a VW Golf.
