Uefa Cup Possibility

Comments (17)

Long shot maybe, but if Liverpool get knocked out of the Champions League, then they drop into the UEFA Cup where Everton will destroy them over two legs in the semi final. Hmmm...

Unless or until the Ed strikes this one off for irrelevant content, this will be the one thread where you can gloat about Liverpool's defeat to Besiktas this evening. Mailbag posts on this theme will be converted to comments and appended below.

On that note, the award for best line I've read so far goes to Chris Gill on the ToffeeNet list:

"The fat waiter paid the penalty for his rotation policy tonight. Should never have left Clattenburg out"

They’ll only drop down to the UEFA Cup if they can finish third in their group - not a foregone conclusion.

Though i’d like to meet them later on in the competition my desire for them to be out of Europe completely wins the day for me - How about an Everton vs Besiktas final?

Well after the final whiistle on Saturday, the fat waiter was quoted saying, This one is for the fans. A noteable sentiment I am sure. However, maybe after their latest performance in Turkey, he may dedicate that one to us blues fans.
I thank you!

As I mentioned in another post... Without the referees’ help last night Liverpool can’t seem to win an honest game... They are just full of crap kinda team...

Murphy’s law...you’ll never know.

Somehow I can’t help but grin about Liverpool’s loss last night....well, it’s not really about how much I hate Liverpool, but rather what a Pool player mentioned after the prideless match..." Riise believes Saturday’s win at Everton could be the key to Liverpool’s season...could be the turning point...and the win at Everton has given us something to build on, something to be positive about."

Sorry Risse, you forgot about Clattenburg. Perhaps Gerrad forgot to give a handshake with the match officials. If that’s your inspiration, good luck for your future matches and aspirations to be champions, and hope that Clattenburg (and any referee that Gerrad et al shakes hands with) will be refereeing all your matches.....

HAHA

Just listened to Carragher’s press conference after the Turkey loss...he babbles like a fucking monkey and is a twat the whole time.

Hilarious. I highly recommend it.

I have to say that the red shites loss is a good tonic for a miserable start of the week.

Had a good jab at my red shite friend who had the balls to gloat after Sat match. Man, that felt great!!!!

I really hope that they dumped out of the Champions League in the group stages, this will bring them crashing down to earth and make them realise what losers they really are!!!

COYB!!!!

Oooh, how I would love to see that semi-final... Even if it means we don’t leave the northwest for the final rounds of the Uefa.

Only thing is I fear the RS’ luck and the refs’ decisions will get them into second place of their group. But that’s for december, for now: I have a dream...

God is really an Evertonian after all.
Carragher who got away with murder on Saturday is punished by shite defending for the first goal. What do Liverpool do the last 15 minutes HOOFBALL exactly what the fat waiter said we did.
Now lets hope they finish bottom so they dont go in the UEFA cup

I will reserve my gloating until approximately 10:00pm tonight. If we manage to get a win then I will sent the pre-saved texts to my red shite mates.

Hopefully God is an Evertonian

What a different team liverpool are without Tw@enburg. He plays a blinder for them in the derby and ends up sat in the stands with his family when they need him most

If they drop into the UEFA Cup and meet us at any stage, you just know they’ll put us out. Everything, but everything, in our recent history tells you they’ll screw us up. I for one don’t want to see them in the UEFA.

BESIKTAS 2 - 1 LIVERPOOL

Take that you unsporting miserable red shite.

At least liverpool will win something this season- The wooden spoon in their group!

Also the unfair play league, if it exists.

In any event last nights result was almost as good as an everton victory. I will watch tonights encounter with Larissa on Five with renewed heart. It was interesting to hear on talk sport last night the post match radio phone in with all the red rabble and their bitching and moaning,. Anybody who had the "pleasure" of listening to that as i did will know exactly what i mean.

Had to be a little careful after watching last nights red shites game because my wife is a red, but secretly was laughing my arse off. The best bit was when Andy Gray said that he was not worried because Liverpool would equalise, then 30 seconds later the Turks scored. Priceless!! And the look on Steeeeevie Geeeeeeee and England reject Carras face at the end! Awesome. Come on tonight!!!!!! 4-01

I looked on the Liverpool Echo RS forum and notice the RS’s are bigger moaners than we are on this forum haha
Benitez will be back waitering in a 3 star hotel in Benidorm if they had their way today.
As a manager with the money at his disposal he has not spent it wisely as old grumpy at OT has. T

3-1, a bit edgy, great result - top of our group after one game, lets hope we’re still top after 4!

Up the blues.

Are you watching Clattenbuuuuurg.......or is that Clattenbridge as ’Rats’ called him!?

Give it a rest will ya’s.

I’m sure that other lot have plenty of forums where you can discuss the relative merits of the fat waiter in full.

Mind you they’d probably chrge ya.

We’re blue, they don’t matter. Simple.
