What a difference a week makes

Comments (2)

Just noticed on another site that Da Silva is on his way back to Goodison after Barnsley failed to extend his loan spell.

This coupled with the fact that our injury list is getting smaller by the day can only be seen as great news, and perhaps time to be a bit more optimistic for the weeks ahead?

In the space of a few days it looks like Moyes, who decided on a midfield including Neville and Jags in the middle of the park against the RS, will now have at his disposal...

Arteta
Cahill
Gravesen
Pineaar
Osman
Carsley
AvdM
Da Silva

Surely now we will not have to see either Jags or Nev in midfield for a long, LONG time, and rather utilise them in the back 4 if and when needed instead, positions where they are surely much more suited.

Just in time me thinks especially with the UEFA and Carling Cup about to kick off along side the Premiership (sorry, "Premier League" as it must be called now!).

I pray we will not have to see Neville and Jags or Carsley in the same midfield again. What an enormous difference Cahill made on Thursday. He pops up with a goal, then starts the run that led to that amazing second goal for Osman. Anyone who says that Cahill can’t pass and is no good on the ball hopefully will have watched that game closely and seen how much better Cahill is with the ball than we give him credit for. And then Gravesen. He played in two matches for us, both off of the bench, and has set up two goals. His through ball to Anichebe was something we have sorely missed with our former central midfield pairing. Lets just hope they can stay healthy and get us back on the right track in the league. It will be interesting to see if Da Silva gets a run out in the Carling Cup next week to rest some of the others for the weekend.

Why has Dirk Kuyt not been banned by the league panel, for that terrible asault on Phil Neville. maybe phil should have gone diving flat on his face like a certain liverpool player did for a pen, as for honesty and truth liverpool cant hold a candle to the blues, and that ref,[who i have rated highly ] should be ashamed of himself.Only he knows the truth of that performance
