Everton Big Cheese?
Comments (13)
I heard American cheese magnate Robert Kraft say on Sky this morning that he was "looking to buy into a Premiership team." Apparently he owns a soccer team already and "wants to grow the brand."
Most of my work-mates say Everton should reach out to him but I'm not so sure. I think for all his faults, Kenwright is one of us and has done a great job of stabilising the Club. He's also got us a new stadium for next to nothing. I'd feel safer staying British!

of Rbt Kraft, after all he has often stated,
that he is looking 24/7 for possible investment.
But I am not sure that Bill Kenright, wants to let go.

I don’t think we should get our hopes up too much!

Kenwright has said that if a billionaire comes along wanting to buy into Everton, then he will step aside.
Where does this ’train-set’ scenario come from ? There’s no evidence whatsoever that the right kind of ’investor’ has made a serious bid for Everton FC, so what are you basing your assumptions on ? Didn’t Kenwright and his consortium step aside once before, when Peter Johnson took over ?
The fella is by no means perfect, but this whole ’he won’t let go’ argument is completety without foundation and is becoming really, really tiresome.

I’m against all this selling to foreign investors anyway, at least Kenwright is one of us and, hopefully’, doesn’tjust see us as assets to be squeezed to increase his own personal fortune.

On the other hand Manure are supposedly £800m in debt and they still seem to have cash to burn. And isn’t any sort of expansion always leveraged by using other people’s money?
Before any body writes in accusing me of simplifying matters, I know it’s not quite that simple, but it shows the extraordinary risks being taken by some Clubs. Bill is far from perfect and I don’t trust him, but I’m not sure if a Foreign investor ( looking to make money - they are not a charity! ) is a sensible route either.
