Luton Game

Is Andy van der Meyde injured at the minute? A run out in the cup against a poor Luton side would get him some much-needed match fitness. Jags was SO much better at right back on Sunday, he has to keep his place! Tommy G to start too!!

He’s in the squad according to the official site

Why waste our time (and hopes) on Andy Van. He’s a drunk...let’s just accept we wasted £2.5m and move on. Moyses should use the Carling Cup to play committed players that need the fitness like Tommy G and Tiny Tim

I would like to see fringe players given a chance, but one thing is in the back of my mind. Win this & we are in the quarters of a cup we have struggled in recently. So lets be sensible and remember we dont have 2 teams of quality like chelsea or Arsenal, but we have 12/14 players who should win, so fingers crossed. Lets get behind them hope we get through as we all know we should. But dont disrespect a Luton side who with thier crowd behind them will fancy a giant killing, lets not give it to them

I hope you have access to a good libel lawyer, Luke.

There’s nothing libellous about calling someone a drunk. If he’d called him an alcoholic, then perhaps there could be a case, but being called a drunk means nothing other than the guy likes a drink. Nothing that would stand up in a court of law! :)

PS Drunks meet up for drinks, alcoholics go to meetings to talk about drinking.

I would like to go to a meeting and get free drinks then go to the pub to talk about my free drinks. Maybe Andy could come with me and get a round in the dutch gary taking hard drinking son of a gun.

Anyone got the number for Jonnie Cochrans office?

Shandy’s been on the garys?!! And there was me thinking it was just a lookalike that I saw raving in 051, glowsticks going ten to the dozen.

I thought moyes had lost patience with him and shown him the door. So if hes lurking somewhere within goodison on borrowed time then why not give him a start.

I have to say i have no knowledge of van der meyde being partial to a drink. Too may heinekens and amstels is not good for anyone let alone a professional footballer. Near where i work theres a chuchyard and every day theres a crowd of low-life degenerates drinking god knows what even at 9am.

Surely van der meyde is not part of them. Never been close enough to inspect. And yes i would like to see gravesen start. Not since the days of lars elstrup has kenilworth road been treated to danish brilliance. Hes a good player (gravesen) of course, but no Michel laudrup.

Back to the drinks, and with an everton win hopefully i may even treat myself to a couple of dry blackthorns on wednesday night. May be difficult to get hold of a chang in my current location. Only a couple mind, have to work the next day. Such is life.

The above mentioned is still spoken about by many Evertonians as being a viable option when it comes to team selection. However, the fact is he has only appeared on the bench once this season. He hasn’t even made the bench on European nights when we can have 7 subs.

I believe that Moyes has no intention in using him ever and he has been well and truly frozen out. However, he can’t move oin until January and even then, he’s such a mercenery he may hang round anyway until his contract runs out in the Summer.

What a total waste of space, time, money this waster has been.

It really annoys me when I think about this pr*ck. We should have got rid in the Summer.

His place could have taken by a decent squad addition.

Johny Cochrane (OJ’s lawyer) died in 2005 from a brain tumour JL Slap so not much use to you now. Try Ian Hislops lawyer for a libel lawyer if you want to slag off the drunk VDM.

I would not play VDM he is a waste of space and we should play players who may have a future at the club, Vidarsson, Pienaar Gravesen Da Silva etc.

I have a picture in my head of a young evertonian (maybe wayne) straddled over a sausage with a whip in his hand, shaking his head and stating that he has to draw the line here....

Has AVDM been playing in the reserves ? Dont forget hes had family problems with his young daughter and spent a long time by her side in hospital.
This would be an ideal opportunity - he has been a class player, just imagine if he could come good for us right now !

Still I would agree with slappy, its a game we want to win as its a great chance to go further in this competition, so not too many changes please.I think he would rest Osman, Pienaar and Arteta and play graveson, mcfadden and AvDM in midfield.

If we are serious about winning things then we need to play our strongest team at crucial times. All of this VDM nonsense is why we underachieve.

Simple, we don’t need him anymore! Cahill, Arteta, Gravesen, Pienaar and Carsley are the main thread of the team and VDM is now only a fringe player.
