Is it true?

Could it really be true that the club have returned approx 2,000 tickets for the Nuremberg game? Could the powers that be do something so callous to deny so many people the opportunity to travel to see their beloved Blues play in Europe? I hope that this is just a rumour because if it's true this is just one kick in the teeth too far. Shame on you whoever is responsible if this is true.

That appears to be the rumour, yes, although, if true, it would have put our allocation over 10% of Nuremberg's capacity. Not that that isn't possible as it's already been established that we were given more than 5% which is supposed to be the Uefa-imposed limit.

If this is true then what was the clubs motive?
Was it to gain more people buying into the Clubs travel package hence paying a kings ransom?
If these rumours are true then shame on you Wyness and the rest of you muppets on the board.

Fact: Phoned Nurenberg box office on monday after the tickets had been sold (I had a problem with a ticket I had got on the web) And he told me that Everton have had a full allocation of tickets but Nurenberg still had 2000 tickets available for section 18 -22 or the Everton End which he said had been sold either on line or through box office. This German guy also said without checking 100 % but he reckons that 8000 tickets have been sold to UK residents. Makes you think though maybe they have played by the UEFA rules with allocation but either the Germans havent read the rules or we dont understand them ask Keith he should know

on the OS that they have NOT returned any tickets. We got an allocation of 6.7% and have sold those but we were refused any further allocation.
It seems though that thousands of blues have bought direct from Nuremburg and they’re not too bothered about it.

Yes the OS have denied that they returned any tickets, but quite frankly I am at the point were if the club told me it was night time then Id have to look out the window to check such is the mistrust I and many other fans feel towards the club

A Codd, please forward some examples as when the OS site has "lied" to us, say within the last 2 months
Links would be nice and not, "Well I can sorta remember this incident"

Can confirm what Simo says, bought 2 tickets from Nurnberg (Sect 20 of the Gegengerade?) 93 Euro each inc booking and postage. Girl I spoke to (great English by the way) said at the present they had sold more of the available tickets to UK addresses than German ones.

I have just been on the telephone to AZ Alkmar about tickets there tickets went on sale today I think they have already sold 14000, there capacity is around 17000, reduced for UEFA, that is going to leave only a few hundred tickets for Everton fans. The contact for tickets for AZ is a bloke called Martin Dekker dead helpful, but he said they are short of tickets for this one. I wish we would have drawn Bayern still plenty of tickets available for that match.

Steve are you sure you paid 93 euros each I never seen any tickets for that amount and also they dont post to addresses outside Germany, you can only pick them up on the day of the game

Tommy, had them sent to friends in Germany just to be sure and used their CC but the price I paid was 93 euro per ticket, inc booking and postage.

In regards to Paul Simo saying that there were tickets for sections 18-22.
I was having a look at the stadium site and stumbled across this diagram. It shows that the away fans are in 23, 24, 25. I think that 18 to 22 is in the home end. I think the tickets we have bought from Nuremberg (myself included -3 in 21) are officially home tickets. It would seem Nuremberg have stuck as many English fans as they can together. Maybe the tickets for 18 to 22 are not officially designated away tickets (and that?s why Everton weren?t selling them), but Nuremberg had made a note to put us ?unofficial? away fans together. That could explain the 2000 extra tickets. Never actually for Everton to sell, but available for Everton fans to buy from Nuremberg. If you see what I mean......
Why such a massive variation in prices? Mine were 12 Euros each.

Who knows if it is true or not, according to UEFA it is 5% minimum plus 200 exec seats so to get just over 5% is what UEFA say you should get as a minimum anyway. For Everton to say "UEFA rules state visiting clubs are to receive 5% of the stadium capacity" is just plain wrong - they got what they were entitled to!
"13.06 All clubs in the UEFA club competitions must make at least 5% of the total capacity of their stadium available exclusively to visiting supporters, in a segregated, safe area. In addition, visiting clubs will be entitled to purchase up to 200 top-category tickets (unless otherwise agreed between the two clubs in question) for their VIP supporters, sponsors, etc. (see Articles 17 and 27 of the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations and Article 19 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations)."

I got 6 tickets for 36 euros these are obstructed views, I sat in an obstructed view at the world cup and to be honest the only thing I couldn?t see was one corner flag without standing up. 2 of these tickets are actually in their equivalent to our main stand 12 euros each and 6 euros for section 32 of the same end Everton fans have been officially allocated. There will be fans all over the ground, the section where EFC are, is usually for standing in league games. The thing in Germany their policy for football tickets is completely different from ours anyone can go on line and buy tickets for any match, my mate has just got tickets for the Bayern v Bolton match, he could have brought up to 20 tickets on line it was that easy.
