The Mail Bag

JJB

Today I rang my local JJB store in Morecambe asking them to order for me, for my son`s birthday, the Everton 3rd kit . They rang me back later to tell me their Head Office had told them the kit wasn`t available until the end of November... and these are our retail partner.

Go to the Everton shop mate, or order it from the website. Then the money goes directly to the club!!!!!!!!

I was in the JJB in aintree last week, had a section for EFC merchandise, but a bigger section for LFC stuff nothing from what I saw favouring EFC over other teams. Like you say Anthony "and these are our retail partner"!

There is a very simple and obvious reason for this, LFC are a much bigger, more successful, and better supported club than everton, both locally and nationally.

Nationally, yes. Locally, definitely not.

The whole JJB has been a complete and utter load of bollocks from the start.

With these days of online shopping etc., why did we ever need to enter into a deal like this one anyway.

I would imagine for the money!
In an Ideal World having our product in a major sportswear shop nationwide makes good sense. I can remember back in the 90’s having to travel up North to buy a home shirt, so in certain ways it is good.

However, as with most football related things, the G14 three and that Russian team dominate the Premierleague and JJB stock what sells the most.

I am a student living in Cardiff. The JJB in the center of Cardiff has a couple of home shirts and nothing else. Have to wait till christmas now to get hold of the away and third kit.

Liilywhites in Piccadilly, London have the 3rd kit and it’s on sale! - not much use to you admittedly but runs counter to the JJB argument .

Jan Evans is distinctly upright in his parsing. LFC are fore sure the largest in our commune. Most major of taverners in Anstenmunder are for the kop
