Yesterday: Players, Moyes and the fans

Comments (1)

Yesterdays finale was incredible, I personally think the way the players kept battling until the end was a credit and something Moyes has in truth instilled into the team since he arrived, I have never known an Everton team who have scored so many goals late as those under Moyes, however I am only 25!!!

Admittedly we should've already had the game won, and the goal was poor, a set piece we should be comfortable, but Birmingham obviously made changes so fair do's. I thought Pienaar, Osman and Carsley were our best players — all midfield by the way, Neville in my opinion deserves a mention.

I will not moan too much as the way it finished was great, but the abuse Moyes was receiving still rankles with me. We won 3-1 so everyone was happy if we had drawn, I know that Moyes would have had tons of posts asking to go!

Hibbert gets defense from people on here, but I feel Moyes, who has let's face it made us a top 10 team in 5 years, and is now on the path to make us a top 10 team and a cup team gets some terrible stick. I don't like the sub changes immediately a goal as it seems to bay to the fans, however I suppose he has no other option, no point being stubborn.

I just feel the fans at Everton are so so fickle towards Moyes, win he's great, lose or draw and sack him. He is doing a good job, and altough not necessarily an case for argument who the hell else is there? Get behind the players and the team hey, who knows we might finish top 6 and a cup final...STOP asking for him to be sacked because in recent times that is success!

Nature of football mate.

You just have to accept thats what happens due to the emotions involved.

Some people naturally expect the best even when its not plasible in the same way as others except when we are dross and just think thats the way things go (Just look at tghe fact some were happy under Smith because ’we didn’t get religated’

And at least we’re not as bad as the Geordies for it!
