I wasn't at the game yesterday and was busy most of the afternoon, so apart from the usual 30 seconds on MOTD the only bits I heard about the game were on 606. One of the first callers mentioned something about Birmingham employing gamesmanship when it was 1-1 in added time.
Following a Birmingham injury the caller said an Everton player put the ball out so he could get attention only for the visitors to retain the ball on the subsequent throw-in. Was this the case guys? Alan Green was quite magnanimous about it (for once) saying that if this was so, it was appalling behaviour on Birmingham's part.
I know everyone from the FA to FIFA has said that it is only up to the referee to halt play for injuries, but it is still good to see us playing the game like gentlemen, even if others don't (Stevie Me take note).

Your right Barry it spurred the crowd on which in turn spurred on the team. This incident was a catalyst for the goals that then happened.

The ball was played to Forsell, who was standing right on the touch-line, when their player was down. He could have let it go out. Did he? No. He jumped in the air to chest the ball down and played it in-field looking to go on the attack. We won the ball back though, and so all the Birmingham players started to scream at Cahill to get him to put it out. Moyes went mad when he did it. It was predictable what they were going to do next. Instead of kncoking the ball straight back out from where it came, or even playing back to Howard, Kapo tried to get it as far into the corner as he possibly could. Nobhead.
If I were a manager, i’d tell all my players to play on.
