The Mail Bag

Flair players

If we played a team of flair players like Da silva,McFadden, Arteta, Pienaar, AVDM, combined with solid players like Stubbs, Carsley, Osman, Yakubu, Johnson, would this be considered as rash, or should we take the plunge like United did many years ago, like Arsenal do every week, and go for it?

We all watch international football on the tele, they all seem to play with sooo much more flair and exitement than us, yet we are considered the best league in the world... Sorry, don't agree; maybe in Europe, although you have to check out the Portuguese league ? brilliant! These teams are full of Ronaldos, Nani's, to mention but a few.

But I digress; are we, Everton, above trying to introduce some flair and talent into this league? We have the players, as mentioned above; are we gonna let Arsenal be the only ones to do this? I say Lets Go For It!

7 midfielders at once is a bit over the top!

The Portuguese competition the best in Europe? Are you having a laugh?

There’s a big difference between attractive footbal and good football. If Derby played all-out attack with all their technical players on pitch every game, they would probably play a pretty attractive game. But they still would get relegated. Can’t see how that makes them good.
