Have we found the secret to success?

Is it me or is playing European football mandatory for domestic 'success'? I really believe that Everton playing in Europe can only have a positive effect. For starters, the squad size is hugely important meaning Everton must keep their numbers up. The type of football played in Europe means our players are learning and getting better with experience ? passing the ball around till the opportunity presents itself can only help us play better football. I may be naive but playing in Europe has so far only been a positive and I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on Everton in Europe and the effects it has/will have?

I take what you're saying about the positive benefits to the players' skills and playing style but I'm not sure I agree that "playing in Europe has so far only been a positive". So far we've only won one game in three following a European match and I don't believe we have sufficient depth of quality in midfield to cope with so many fixtures, Arteta's reported injury ahead of Sunday's game at Chelsea being a case in point.
