Best attack in the prem??

Comments (4)

A recent article was posted on the Everton website saying that we have the best in strike force in the prem. I think that we have a really good strike force so I have made comparisons to the big 4 plus Tottenham (only team out side the big 4 that has more than 3 quality strikers) so this is what i came up with:

Arsenal: Van Persie v McFadden... 1-0 to Arsenal
Abedayor v Yakubu... I think the yaks wins this 1-1
Johnson v Eduardo... 2-1 to the toffees
Bendtner v Vaughan... even gunners would want jimmy 3-1
Only Anichebe and Walcott left... can't really compare.... Everton better than Arsenal

Chelsea:
Drogba v Johnson... sorry AJ, 1-0 chelski
Shevchenko - Yakubu... yakity yak 1-1
Pizzaro v McFadden... close but Jimmy Mac is underrated 2-1
Kalou v Anichebe... battle of the Africans Even Steven 2-2
Vaughany a loner... Everton win

I don't want to write too much so you can do the others yourself...

i think the comparison with both red shite teams is a good one. Apart from torres i wouldn?t swap any of our lads with any of theirs. As for united........i think they are short of a yak or vic type player. We are very strong in attack but......and it is a bit but........we don?t have the quality in the middle of midfield at the moment to make the best use of what we have got. If.......and i know it is a big if.....we can find that central midfielder then we will be right up there!

Is the article a joke? There’s no statistical comparison, no goals to games ratios, infact it’s not even bloody completed. How the hell do Adebayor and Eduardo fall foul of Yakubu and Johnson?

I don’t think you did your job properly on this one Michael.
Jack, we have not even got a player in the fifteen top scorers in the premier League, this sort of incomplete comparison is an embarrassment enough said.

This is a brilliant piece of incisive analysis which proves your point conclusively. Well done.
