Moyes is going to be offered the England job!

Apparently Barwick is going to offer Moyes the position once McLaren moves on before Everton give him a mega bucks contract.

Dunno if there is any truth in it. Do you think he would take it if asked?

Even if there is a drop of truth in the rumour would Moyes accept? I can’t see it - he is busily getting all his best players on extended contracts. He can genuinely say now that relegation dogfights are a thing of the past. He has taken some stick, rightly so, over some poor displays but this team is playing football.

It may not be perfect but Moyes has improved this club and can realistically hope to pick up a trophy soon.

The final piece in the jigsaw is to get a few referees in his back pocket and then anything is possible!!

Just think how happy Rooney would be! That would almost make up for losing Moyes!

In actuality, can’t see it happening, and I certainly hope not.

No way will he be offered or will he accept. Of course one day he’ll probably be offered the Scotland job. That might be more tempting.

Who would really want the england job anyway, its a poisoned challice!

If they want anyone it will be Jose! Must be ready to work again after leaving Chelsea.

The comment posted was not submitted by me, the real Tony Marsh [and has now been deleted, along with all the phished responses. Warning to other would-be pranksters: impersonation results in an instant and irrevocable ban. ? Ed] so keep your wigs.

I am quite happy at the moment and I have noticed a definite change in direction on the playing style. I have been up-beat lately so safe your powder until I do make a comment you don't like

I actually didn?t really think it was you. But it still doesn?t take away the point that when we lose or have a disappointing draw you come out with many columns, but when we win you go reasonably quiet. Why not post an equal amount of positive columns praising the team as the many, many doom and gloom columns?

So you didnt read my Nuremberg article then Barksy? I was over there with the lads/>and submitted a very positive article I think. The same applies to the last 5 or 6 games we have played in. The last time I went off on one was after the Derby game and if I feel it's warranted I will be the first to have a go again. It's all about opinions Dave.Mine differes from yours so live with it mate.

Didn’t we win 3-2 at the mighty FC Rejkavik in 1995?

You’re right you guys - he’ll do Celtic after us, then then his national side.

And yes, I did write ’do’ up there for Tony and them. Apply as you will.... ;-)

Tony,
I did read that article and thought it was very good. I’m not saying that you haven’t said anything positive. I’m simply saying that when there is a bad result you are on here non-stop. But when we are winning the number of posts from you goes significantly down. That’s all I’m saying. I’m glad you’re pleased with the performances of late but I’m sure you feel, as I do, that we can still improve a great deal. I just want to hear from you more when we’re winning mate, you’re articles are pretty good even though most of the time I disagree with you. Now I want to read some of those posts and agree with ya. Are you going to the AZ match as well?

To be fair, Mr Marsh has been praising the Mighty Blues if they win, but yes, he can be extremely negative if we don’t. However, he has been much more optimistic recently than I’ve ever known! As for the topic, no one would want the England job unless they like the sound of verbal abuse ringing in their ears. The FA would look a right bunch of twats if they sack McLaren and no one wants the job. It might even shut the press up too!

WHY THE HELL WOULD A SCOT MANAGE THE ENGLISH TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THat is like giving an Aussie the Kiwi coaching job. THe only reason they would take would be to fuck up the team

We dont need an ozzie to do that - we do an exceptional job ourselves. And re coaching the england team - if moyes wants trophies then stick with mighty everton. If he went with england he?d have as much chance of winning a trophy as - well , the all blacks coach!

If Moyes does take the England job then I will eat my own faeces live on TV at the next Everton game on Sky after Moyes has been handed the England job, and I’ll do it right on the centre circle.

Can’t say fairer than that.
