Negativity
Comments (10)
Regarding the increased frequency of comments regarding the 'negativity' on ToffeeWeb... It's the only Everton-related site where real discourse occurs. Love Bluekipper for a good laugh at the expense of the shite but that's as far as it goes. The official site is an embarassment; nice how you can comment with the single option of 'thumbs up', but if you you're not lapping up all that corporate shite...tough. Regardless of your take on matters regarding the club, we should all be greatful for this gem that is ToffeeWeb; thanks for all the hard graft lads. COYB

Its frustrating because at the height of very serious scenarios in the Everton world (Wayne Rooney’s departure, Gravesen to Madrid etc) the official site typically says nowt-in spite of the negativity, these are issues should be addressed on our official thread.

Tony Marsh 75% of the time makes a fairly decent comment or observation but every now and then his temper gets the better and he spews out some vitriolic comments to someone he doesnt agree with, but you can tell the man is a true blue whether you agree with everything the man says.
To me Blue Kipper is like reading the Beano, a bunch of blokes having a laugh, its like buying a tabloid like the Daily Star you read it in minutes.
The official Everton site, programmes, the Evertonian are all propaganda, telling u what you want to hear. I only check the site for information only I never read the reports or comments

These are just the sort of negative comments that piss a large proportion of us off. Because to slate the website is a pointless, twatish way just to have another go at the club we are all supposed to love.
This is to take nothing away from toffeeweb, yes a brilliant site but it is a different type of site with a different purpose to the official site. The two shouldnt be compared.

Very true, Craig and it’s worth keeping in mind. The official site is limited in the amount of fan discourse or speculation in which it can indulge on its pages. Had old PJ given me the webmaster role at the official site I interviewed for 10 years ago, I’d be on the other side of the fence, I’m sure!

With Tony Marsh as Pope of course.
Don’t know about Blue Kipper but most loyalists appear to gather under the When Skies are Grey banner.
Often it’s like Monty Pythons Life of Brian on both sites....
’Are you the People’s front for Judea?’....’Feck off...we’re the People’s Judea Front...we feckin hate the People’s Front for Judea !’

I also really like the discourse that goes on, on this site.
Congratulations Lyndon, Michael and all others who make this a great site.
What really irks me is people who cannot take it that their opinion maybe wrong or that someone else has a differing opinion. I have said this in another thread, its is part of Scouse culture. If you do not like it then don’t put up on the site, sit tight as an observer and watch the rest of us have a go at each other.
After all its only sport.
