Wes Brown/McFadden

Wes Brown rejects a 4-year deal and Fergi says he may be sold in the window, Moyes says he's got his eye on one January signing. Wheres the one position were our cover is limited ? central defense.
All this hopefully will point to Wes Brown swopping Man Utd for the mighty Blues come january! Also, Fads must not be sold, he's an enigma waiting to happen!

not a good idea wes brown passed his best, plus jagielka; yobo; stubbs and yobo 4 quality players although stubbs getting on a bit experience is the key, If anything its centre midfield where we are lacking a bit of quality needed e.g Fernandez even though we wont get him, we need someone similar maybe Appiah.
Sounds like we’re just about on top at goodison park. 200 fulham fans hahaha . Any coverage for todays game ?
thanks coyb

Rob,not being funny mate,Jagielka and quality just don’t go togethor.I’m still yet to see why we forked out £5m on him.Also,half-time at the game and a poor first half by us,with Fulham playing the better football in the dire conditions.Dare I say it,well here goes,Ronnie Goodlass saying we are playing too many long balls to the front 2.Hopefully we can get it on the floor 2nd half.

Jags has never had a run of games though. ON wednesday he looked ok nothing special nothing terrible hes never going to be number 1 CB but what i am saying hes a good cover up also versatile against derby and bolton he looked good: yes ok against lesser oppositions but he needs time , look at anderson at utd looked useless at first now a class buy
Anyways 2-0 well done Yak

Everton will not go for a player like Wes Brown. He is past his best and at 28 yrs old, he doesn’t fit in with Moyes’ strategy of lowering the average age of the Everton squad. Besides, I’m not sure defence is where Moyes looking to strengthen. I think maybe either another winger or central midfielder to add some needed creativity.

Brian have to disagree, the one place we are short of cover is central midfield

No Wes Brown!NO NO NO NO!!!!! We don’t want to take a step backwards.Hes fucking CRAP!! So what! if he plays for Manure. Phil Neville played for Man U and he ain’t exactly great. Ronaldo does all the work, then Wes Brown just overlaps and sends in the cross. Wes Brown minus Ronaldo equals SHITE!!!

Am not a Wes Brown fan either. Am sure Moyes has targetted a brick outhouse of a midfielder as his priority.
Oh, and Reading 3, the Sh!te 1 at the moment. Merry Xmas.

El-ray,
5 years isn’t long in football!
The lad has a lovely touch and he is capable of beautiful cameos...like his goal against Charlton. But the game needs a lot more than that today. He just doesn’t pull his weight which is a pity because if he could he might be class. What Everton need at the moment is a strong, driving midfielder, a la Viera.Get one of those and mark my words we aint far away! Don’t know where we are going to find one though, Appiah sounds like the best prospect unless Davey has an eye on the lower leagues again!

Wes Brown obviously rejected the contract on wages grounds so I dont think we could meet his demands and why should we when Yobo and Lescott are better.
However having said that, he would add versality to the back 4.

First off - how many tabloids will have ?Yak-trick? over the back pages tomorrow? I sat down this morning at about ten and started writing why we shouldn?t waste a sou on the fifth-rate Ferdinand (who?s onlt thirs rate himself). Better off spending a tenner in Wickes timber dept for something with a bit more pace and vision. Then I thought, what?s the point? No blue?s going to be mad enough to want bloody Wes Brown, are they?

If Moyes were in the market for a central defender he would surely go for Martin Lauersen from Villa. He is a free agent from january, he has been their best player this season and Moyes has previously been close to signing him.

He’s 28, and has rejected a 4 year contract supposedly worth £50,000 a week.... why would we want him?? He’s too old, over-rated, and bloody expensive!

Wes Brown is a waste of time, I think Charlie Brown makes a better defender!

Wes Brown would be a very good signing.
A winner with bags of European experience.
Centre Halves get better with experience so at 28 he?s at a good age. We bought Phil Neville when he was 28
