Momo or Not

Comments (21)

Ok, its pure speculation and pretty pointless but when were playing like we are now there not much room for debate, we all agree that we a doing great, which is fantastic but a little boring for internet forums. Signings however always offer debate, so:

Sissoko would be brilliant, I think he is potentially class but he has suffered in form and confidence since he nearly went blind, fair enough. But for 4-6million you wont get another big, strong ball winner as good as him. He cant get into liverpool team as they have 4 other top class centre mids, but we have Carsley and TG, so he would. If anything we should get him for next season, Moyes has proven with Arteta and Pienaar he can get the best out of players, if he does the same with Momo then he would be fantastic.

Wes Brown would also be an exellent addition. He is leaving in Jan for a token fee, he's better than Jags and can also play right back. A long term replacement of Stubbs.

These two are my priority, I would then move for Manny or Arshavan.

Manny is unwanted, his attitude has been bad and Valencia coaches and fans are unconvinced. I believe his attitude is the result of a transfer he didnt want, If we try and get him on loan again he would be exellent alongside Momo, and we would have one of the best midfield in the country Pienaar, Arteta, Momo and Manny with Cahill above them.

Or Arshavan, who apparantly wants to move to England. He could offer depth and enable us to rest Arteta, Pienaar and Cahill as he can play in all of their positions, And he is also Class.

I?m all for Sissoko, he?d be the perfect long-term replacement for Carsley, who sadly can?t go on forever. I?m also with you for Brown, except that I wouldn?t play him above Yobo & Lescott, so I?m not sure that he?d move to a club that uses him as back-up?

It?s nice that we can now realistically target players like this though. Gone are the days of Mitch Ward and Carl Tiler.. I hope.

If moyes could get momo on the cheap then I would be all for it , £5 mil tops, hes still only young and im sure Moyes would get him back to his best!

There were numerous RS callers on 5 live a few weeks back saying he wasn’t fit to wear the shirt. Apparently he’s absolute tosh and can’t pass or nuthin.

Sissoko yes if the fee was right but that tosser won’t sell 2 us, Fernandes yes i’d have him back but the point you make Oliver about him not wanting the transfer is bollocks he could of said no, why Arshavin do you watch the Russian Leauge reguarly i’ve seen him play against us and he was ok so don’t quite understand the fuss maybe you would like Edmar from Metalist aswell!!! and Wes Brown i hope not he’s always injured so please no

Oliver McAdam- Momo and Brown and then Fernandes or Arshavin??? you definitely got your priorities wrong mate. Than god your not the manager. Or else you would have been singing anything that moves.
Robbie Kirkham- I watched Arshavin play against shitty England, he gave them a torrid time, he was a cut above all the other Russian players. But then again he did play against England who are absolute bollocks, so you may have a point.

What are you talking about? How could you possibly mess about with a winning team and leave out our best midfield performer since our unbeaten run started - LEON.

Got nothing against Wes Brown, that would be great business to pick him up cheaply, but the others you mentioned are a waste of space.

Regarding Manny - he’s the one that got away... deal with it!

FFS I’m not getting into this debate for the 4th time. I’ll just this time ask you to watch a RS game that he plays in this year.

Whether it is down to his lack of sight or whatever I dont give a shit.......he is fucking garbage. A player who cant pass & gives more silly fouls away than Phl Neville & Paul Scholes together!!!!

Imagine them fucking murderers laughing thier arse off if we bought him, they would have tears of joy if we paid £6million for him. Turn it right in lads

/ Graham
If you don´t like it? Then stay away from it. Go do something else.

Felt a little bit like the Rooney-saga when Fernandes went away. To good for us. He´s that missing piece in our midfield. Just think about it, Cahill/Fernandes/Arteta behind Yakubu. To bad he only played once with Cahill, Watford(A) Get him back on loan so he can see what his missing and damand a transfer from spain for 8mil..

Momo is a good adition to our squad and so is Brown, but then get rid of Hibbert/VDM and sell McFadden.

BTW sign Dusan Djuric from Halmstad, classy little player for 250.000 i´d guess..

Moyes has just said on Sky Sports that the team ar eplaying well and we do not not need anybody in January, he also said at best there may be a loan signing, so there you have it, we can speculate till the cows come home but it looks as though there will nobody coming in or going out in January.

I reckon we should get Ballack from Chelski, Torres from the shite, Goofy from Barca, Buffon and Nedved from Juve.

Sorted.

Pure FM posting but personally no go on Sissoko he simply can’t pass a ball. If you were true FM and money was no object then the boy I watched at Ibrox dismantle Rangers on Wednesday night; Karim Benzema, christ that boy and he is just a boy is shit hot but way out of the realms of potless BK

First thing... one thing that the last few weeks should have taught all the doubters is that David Moyes knows what he is doing. Whatever we all think is only 2nd rate to Moyes as he is the manager and now proven. If he does go for Sissoko and/or Fernandes then I also agree but don’t think Sissoko will go until the summer, whilst Fernandes will perhaps another six month loan. I think we need both as Carsley is coming to the end of his career and Neville and Jags are not good enough in that position to replace him. We need at least one more creative midfielder as although Ossie, Mikel, Tiny Tim and Pienaar are all doing really well, what happens if at least one gets injured, suspended or African Nations!? We have no back-up creative midfielders.

Therefore, for January I hope Moyes goes for Fernandes at least on loan and perhaps another creative midfielder. Then in the summer Sissoko as well. All other positions are fully covered.

I believe the only thing separating us from the big 4 now is a world class player. Our squad strength and quality are just as good as the top 4 but these ’world class’ players can turn a match by themselves in a second. Unfortunately these are not cheap so perhaps we will have to save for a couple of years and then gamble on getting it right. This is a big step but one we will probably have to take to gatecrash the top 4 and persuade our current best players to stay.

This boy has everything we are crying out for bar technique.i know that should be the first thing you should look for but to get somebody with all the attributes we are looking for will cost big money.other than fernandes, who else is out there.i seen sissoko in the nou camp last year and he was outstanding but as everyone is saying his form has been poor.i honestly think moyes can work his magic on him.

Excessively FM - tastic or not, you can’t have too many Big young skillful centre mids.

So Sissoko’s and/or Fernandeses form is poor to patchy.... not unlike a certain Mr Yakubu and the price will be right(ish)

So DM is as ever tight-lipped about transfer activity, but in this article he does however appear to let it slip that he's in the market for someone to replace Pienaar when he's away for the African Nations.... http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_2984291,00.html
