The Mail Bag

SK Brann

Probably one of the best possible outcomes of the draw for the boys ? Aberdeen aside maybe ? and a place in the final 16 looks increasingly likely after the draw and of course because of the past performances by the Blues.

If they were to get through to the final 16 they will face the winner of the Rosenborg - Fiorentina games. Personally I'd fancy another trip to Norway but then again I fancy our lot to beat everybody at the moment!

Good draw for Liverpool Supporters ? this means they can come over on the Wednesday, pop along to Goodison on the Thursday to see their local team play Everton and then stay for their match on Saturday

We should be able to win - even if Brann are Norwegian Champions this year and unbeaten at home. Their away form was not so fantastic. So should be able to get through. The only player I seem to know is Erik Bakke - ex of Bankrupt Leeds.

Then off to a match with Firenze's finest (Ryanair via Pisa) and maybe we can get the rest of the money for Kanchelskis! Perhaps the best draw we could have hoped for ?almost

We have drawn Norwegian side SK Brann in the UEFA cup, and if we get past them we meet Rosenburg or Fiorentina in the last 16.

Anybody know anything about our opponents?

Hopefully if we get past brann we will get a chance to see if Per Krøldrup can actually head a football?

I seem to remember Erik Bakke is an Evertonian !!

Great draw - And Rosenburg or Fiorentina in the last 16 should we progress.. It’s very hard not to get excited by our prospects..

I watched their group game against Dinamo Zagreb where they were completely dominated by the Croations, especially in the first half. Dinamo spurned chance after chance until the 45th minute when they were caught on a quick counter, conceding a penalty and a red card which changed the course of the game. Dinamo still went on to equalise with 10 men before eventually losing 2-1. From what I witnessed in this match, we have nothing to fear from the Norwegians and expect us to run up a cricket score at Goodison.

I remember when Bakke played for Leeds, in the Everton program it said he was an Evertonian and even flew to see the games before becoming a professional footballer.

Hate to tempt fate, but am I correct in interpreting the draw for Ro16 as that we will be home in the 2nd leg of that as well?

Does anyone know when it’s decided whether we play on 13th/14th Feb?
