ToffeeWeb - Season 2007-08

The Mail Bag

Season's Greetings to one and all

This is a bit of a drunken ramble, but I'd just like to say Happy Christmas to all the ToffeeWeb readers, contributors and especially the editorial team at TW towers.

These guys are doing a fantastic job providing us all with a platform to air our views and listen to those of others. In terms of unofficial sites TW is head and shoulders about any of it's rivals... And all for free.

I'm sure Micheal, Colm, Lyndon etc are too proud to ask, but running servers, web space, etc, costs £ or $ (depending on where you are). So I say to you, my fellow TW readers, donate $10 or whatever you can afford and keep this site the best in class: http://www.toffeeweb.com/site/contribute.asp

Many thanks, Matt, and Happy Christmas to both you and all our readers ? it goes without saying that without an audience and an actively participatory community there would be no point in the many hours it takes to keep TW ticking over.

The link you reference is not something we publicise as we're not comfortable with outright asking for financial support ? although, obviously, we'd never turn it down, if only because the bigger the site gets, both physically and in terms of traffic, upgrading the site's platform may become more necessary. To be completely open about it, though, since we created that page our modest advertising revenue has caught up with our running costs and that keeps us going. In that sense, the ads are a necessary evil but we do try and keep them as unobtrusive as possible.

Thanks Matt, a merry merry Xmas to everyone around the world. Does anyone know how I can get hold of a blue Everton shirt? No one in South Africa has stock. (all sold out!) I really want to buy me father one, but no luck. Please let me know?

thanks guys!
