Chelsea Cup Semi

Comments (12)

Does anyone know how many matches Carvaliho and Cole will be suspended for following the 4 - 4 Villa match?

By my reckoning, if it's 3 they will miss their home leg of the Carling Cup. As Terry is crocked it would be a great advantage!

It is three games for the red card and I was thinking that would help us when we play them too but Chelsea have three games (Newcastle and Fulham in the Prem and QPR in the FA Cup) before they play us so on the assumption that those three are the three they’d miss then they would be available to play against us.
Bring ’em on we can still beat them........it’s only Drogba that I would worry about and I assume he won’t be available.

Cole’s red card is for professional foul, so he should only be suspended for ONE match.

In the form that Jagielka is in at the moment, I wouldn’t worry about Drogba too much. I haven’t seen such a dominant performance by a centre-half in a long time, against one of top marksman in the league too!

Well said Nick, after a shaky start it’s only right that Jagielka should be praised for his current form. He really is looking VERY accomplished.

Does the FA Cup count for league game suspensions?

Amanda, if the FA cup doesn’t count, then league cup won’t count either, I guess ;-).

They both count for suspensions, as far as I know.
