Anderson da Silva Franca

Is this boy gonna cut it? Apart from 10 minutes against Charlton, in which he looked scared to death. I've yet to see him play. Has anyone seen him playing at Barnsley and witnessed his talent The Club had to get through a lot of red tape to get him and I think he's back from Barnsley. Will he get a chance?

My father in law is a Barnsley season ticket holder (poor sod). He reckons he is/was their best player by a mile. If you look at Barnsley's results with him in the team, it does show a good impact.

When you look at the alternatives what have we got to lose?

Phil Neville as CM - played three times this season lost all three - a RB and everyone knows it

Bjarni Vidarsson - not given a shout unknown as is Da Silva

Jagielka - only times he has played in midfield for Everton he has been shocking and way out of his depth - not surprising for a defender

Remaining youth squad players too young and small to be of use against the premiership bruise boys
