Diving blues

Comments (5)

Phil Neville looked silly, Arteta looked silly on the replay, Yakubu toppled over, but did he dive? Pienaar has been caught going down easily on several occations this season.

Are we becoming one of those sides? I've thought i've seen it in previous games as well, but not as blatantly as against Arsenal. Personally i think it's a disgrace if that's the sort of thing Everton should be associated with in the future.

Sure, we play more attractive football, but do we need to invite along this aspect?

I think we have discussed this at great length already... where were you, Paul? Read some of the threads below please.

Michael, I think I brought it up in another post along with the abuse being thrown by Everton fans at opposition players and both subjects were largely ignored, in the case of the diving and in the case of the abuse I was informed that I was too PC and that they deserve it/can accept it due to players large salaries. My point was that neither are welcome or necessary. Good post Paul. Let’s see if they’re are any responses or if he’s shot down.

Well Michael, i’ve looked and looked and found one remark about diving on the first page(not going into the archive)

One comment, and no real feedback on it. Although it might have been discussed in another thread with another topic or something cos i missed it.

As for where was i? Well, i don’t read everything in here, it’s not all pulitzer material.

As I said in another thread AJ nealy broke his leg with the terrible challenge combined with his body weight on his standing leg. Somtimes it is best to go to groung to avoid injury. I think there are dives to win free kicks and pens for an advantage witch is cheating and dives to avoid injury. I think both Arteta and Nev dived to avoid injury after all Arteta already had his man beat, it wouldn?t have been an advantage him going down. if he didnt go down he would have been kicked down anyway but with a damaged ankle.

Neville and Arteta went down to avoid injury?

Arteta is moving away from the player who barely touches him, falls over and protests furiously.

Neville just looked silly and i’ll think he’ll be the first to admit it himself. Truth is, we went for the set-piece plays.
