Carling Cup Semi-final

Can't believe there has been little mention of our semi-final next week. Perhaps our biggest game in a deade and hardly a word! I got my ticket early thinking they would be like gold dust but they have been on general sale for a week now and we have still not sold out. I think we probably will sell out and we have had a lot of other games to distract us but am I alone in thinking that the game isn't generating the excitement and attention it deserves?

Err... the approved thinking is: Take It One Game at a Time. That means right now Everton v Oldham is the entire focus of attention.

By all means pop back in on Sunday when we'll be ramping up the excitement...

Does anybody know what allocation we have got, have we got the whole of the shed? I got my ticket through yesterday and am in row 1 of the shed, but cant tell how close to the goal we are.

If we have the whole of the Shed that should mean about 6000 tickets which if we were to sell out would make for a great atmosphere.

I?m excited and I?m going to the Bridge and hoping its going to be a great atmosphere. I went to the LC semi against Bolton in 1977 and got locked out due to the 54,000+ sell out at GP. I was gutted. I was 13 and although I had been going to Everton for many years prior to that with my Dad I had by then just started to gain my independence and was going the game without him. (My independence from Dad but my dependence on Everton). Between the semi and the final I started going to away games under my own steam usually hitch hiking. I hitched hiked it to the final and was so moved I was hooked for life.
So I for one do have a bond with the paltry League Cup. Fuck knows we might even win it one year. Yours Pissed and Nostalgic

Not wishing to jump the gun, but has anyone looked at the fixtures recently?

Carling cup final is on Sunday 24th Feb - Uefa Cup second leg v Brann is only 3 days before (Thursday 21st). Let’s hope all the hard work is done in the first leg!!!

Just wondering if any of you could tell me what the price is going to be for the home leg?

Paul Jones above...

With success comes pressure. I hope to God we will be in the position you describe. I was a season ticket holder through the 80’s and I remember it costing me a fortune to buy all the semi and final tickets and Charity Shield tickets etc; not to mention going to all our ECWC games home and away. I would gladly do it all again ’cos it means we are successful.

The price for the home leg is the same as for premiership games

For me in the family enclosure its £28 and for an under 16 its £12 if I purchase by Monday

I think they should be discounted as per the earlier rounds as its getting expensive !

from the EFC website:

Tickets for this fixture are priced at normal Premier League prices:
Adults £28.00-£34.00
OAPs £23
Juniors £15-£19

However season tickets holders will receive a £3.00 discount off the price of their seat if purchased within the pre-sale period

Tickets will go on sale on the following dates:

Wednesday 2nd January 2008 to Monday 7th January 2008 - Season tickets holders and Evertonia Members

Tuesday 8th January 2008 - Evertonia Members and Displaced Bullens Road season ticket holders only

Wednesday 9th January - General sale

If anyone has a spare for Tuesday, give us a shout eh. Cheers.
