And the team is:?
Howard
Hibbert
Jags
Lescott
Valente
Arteta
Cahill
Carsley
Neville
McFadden
Anichebe
Subs: Vaughan, Gravesen, Stubbs, Baines, Ruddy.
AJ and Wessells have knocks and the Fernandes deal was not completed in time for this match
We welcome back Mikel Arteta though!!!

I don?t think that team is strong enough to defeat Man City

Since when has AJ been injured?

Very surprised Valente is preferred to Baines.
I do hope that AJ’s absence isnt due to an imminent sale...

I reckon Victor, Vaugheny and McFadd probably helped AJ’s injury with some target practice in training.
There’s excellent competition for the front line. We just need them all to be firing when they are used.
If McFadd can hold his head today he could be excellent with big Vic and Timmy.
3 points & into the top 4!!

Nice to see Michael Ball talking about Everton in the Echo upon his first appearance at Goodison park in an opposing team. A lifelong Everton fan, how different to Wayne Rooney who talks of the extra spice to beating Everton and celebrates wildly in front of the Park End.

If Arteta plays well today we’ll win, simple as that

2 - Bright start: Everton are immediately onto the front foot and look full of confidence

I can?t understand how Valente is preferred to Baines, I thought Valente was shocking v Boro.

7 - No chances yet: There have been no real opportunities in the opening stages. Both teams are looking to keep it tight and the tempo is quite slow

11 - Caution: Cahill is booked for a high tackle on Hamann. It looks painful but the City man gets back to his feet

Stuart: I heared Cahill was lucky to stay on the pitch? I noticed in the Racing Post this ref doesn’t dish too many cards out.

Just missed a sitter, caught a brief glimpse of Cahill missing an open goal as my live streaming stutters and buffers its way. 3 points today would be great! COYB!

31 - GOAL: Lescott turns the ball home for Everton from Arteta’s excellent right-wing cross

Why is it whenever our best players get injuries just before a match (day before or in training) a few idiots panic and think they are up for sale. for God sake grow up!

HALF-TIME: The first half has been very one-sided and Everton thoroughly deserve to lead 1-0. City will have to improve considerably to take even a point from this game

Can anyone help with some live streaming vision sites?
I get frustrated with delayed text based ones.
I mainly have to use the soccernet Gamecast but it can delays of up to 5 minutes without any update.

Try "http://4.livefooty.doctor-serv.com/sat12.1/Everton_ManCity.html", you will need to download TVAnts but it only takes a few minutes. Takes a while to buffer though.

Manny has signed! Just not registered in time for this match!

48 - Lack of urgency: Neither side has made any changes at half-time but City may have to soon as their performance since the break has been just as lacklustre

I hate the way we seem to hang on, 20 mins from end. 4 mins left, just hope the inevitable doesnt happen.

Great result that I cant wait to watch in 4 hours.
Same Day Delay thing sucks.
No Richards acrobatic goal this year at the death, so that’s 2 points gained in a similar game this year.

Good performance by Tont Hibbert Today to keep Petrov very quiet ............
Dan McKie

I agree John, I thought Hibbert was brilliant today and showed that he is a really good defender against a quality winger!

I hear rumours that AJ is off to Celtic this week for around £9M plus. With him not in the 16 to play City, could there be any truth in this??
