Hit The Bar ? Win A (Secondhand) Car
Comments (7)
Good today to see a fan winning a car by hitting the bar only to find out the car is a second hand one? How many other clubs would offer second hand goods as part of their prize for such a highly publicised competition? I am just intrigued to know...
ps: Not having a go at the club at all ? just an observation.

I’m assuming it was in association with BlueCars or whatever they’re called?
Must be Mr. Earl looking after the purse strings again. Surely with the money saved on a new car we can def afford Manny in June?!

Actually Adrian, you ARE having a go at the club. You are suggesting that Everton is a cheap club offering second hand cars when our competitor clubs would not do such a thing.
Only you can explain why you want to have a pop at the club after we have just had an excellent win over the fourth placed team, with five first teamers missing, and have just got Manny back to further strengthen the side. Over to you.

It?s probably insured. I work in the motor trade and we used to give away cars at all kinds of events. We used to do it for Portsmouth FC, you pay a premium of a few hundred quid as chances are nobody will hit the bar, so insurance companies make a profit on these cometitions. We did loads of golf days ?hole in one win a new MG? nobody ever won one ;0)

Okay,. that’s enough of this nonsense. You obviously can’t discuss something without having a go at each other... COMMENTS CLOSED!

Not suggesting we are a cheap club Neil I am asking why we would offer such a prize and if other clubs do the same thing. I do realise that we won and had many players out yes and beat Man City, however I would have still asked the same question had the score been any different...
