Has nothing to do with "fashion" as we think of it. As I said, it’s awareness.

It beggars belief the problems in this world today, and people are taking something so trivial, so seriously.
if the ladies want to wear pink, and be an everton supporter, good on them. I couldnt care less what they wear, as long as they support the club. And it can only encourage the younger supporters.
Or is this a mans only thing?

Wear pink if yis want, lets all wear pink, just don’t call it an Everton shirt, Everton shirts are Blue.

That?s bad. I?d bettwr sue the people who sold me the yellow, amber, white, grey, black and salmon pink shirts I?ve bought over the last fifteen years. Obviously I?ve been defrauded!

If some women at the match want to wear a pink shirt then let them & if some fellas want to buy it for them.....then let them!!
As someone above me has just said, they are being released for breast cancer & profits for them will go to breast cancer charities, how can that be bad in any way. Its a limited edition so it wont be a permanent thing, everyones a winner!!

If you knew your history you would know this was not always the case. The pink shirts look excellent, have an individual style and are being produced for a very good cause.
Plus they are not only for the ?ladies? - any male who has problems with wearing pink just in case people might see it as too ?gay? has some issues to resolve!!

There are plenty of pink items on the merchandise website.

The Pink Breast Cancer awareness shirts were a fund raising element of the home game against Boro. However only 40/50 were made and that’s when Everton’s PR started in meltdown.
Demand for the shirts surprised the club and they eventually decided to produce 1000 shirts. However supply was originally promised as January and that has now been put back until February !!! although that line has since been removed from Everton’s site.
The goodwill and extra funds for such a good cause as Breast Cancer Research have been diluted by the delay.
Recent requests at the Megastore have been met with comments that demand will exceed supply but they have no idea of the delivery date.
Anything that encourages Blues of either sex to be proud of the club and to have the kudos of having done something for a good cause should not be ridiculed but applauded.
Why it takes from 30th September until sometime in February to produce the 1000 shirts is another question for the PR Dept or UMBRO to answer as the goodwill towards this cause could have been badly diluted by the delay.

In all honesty, I don?t want to be associated with fellow supporters who think that that pink shirts "are not right" or who cannot support such a worthy cause.
I shall certainly be purchasing a pink shirt for someone, and hope it helps the initiative.

If it means that a 1000 more people are wearing Everton shirts then it has to be good for the club. It may even inspire more to become Evertonians...

Personally I want a Black one for all us old Goths.
23 Posted 15/01/2008 at 23:17:55
Not bad for a five year old.

I hope they do manage it as my 3 year old wanted one. She’s at the age where she needs to understand what team she needs to follow, so this would go a long way to persuading her.

Ffs get a grip if some sexy sort wants to brighten up my area of the ground by parading round in a little pink top then that is fine by me.
It will make a change from the usual chavs dripping in bracelets and sovereigns with those stupid black Elma Thudd hats on.
Gob bless Amanda Holden and that bird from the kittens

I am sure that with "marketing" of the breast cancer tie in and turning it into a (national) news item - we could drive big internet sales from outside our usual fanbase.
There’s an italian team who’s second strip is pink, can’t remember who, it looks mint.
Remember - ther are only 2 types of blokes who look good in pink - Stuart Hall and Real men.
