Everton tv

Has anyone had any dealings with the company that runs the Evertontv service?

I've just found out that they've renewed my subscription which I'm none too happy about. The only way to contact them is by e-mail so I've sent off a request for cancellation and refund.

I also phoned Everton and was told this service is nothing to do with them (???) and they only have the same e-mail address for them!!!

How hard is it going to be to get a refund? How can Everton have so little to do with a service they seemingly provide, promote and profit from?

It’s these guys you need to speak to I think, and they aren’t too hot either... Gave us a nice messy, full of advertising website though, yay!

Michael, behave! This has nothing to do with "outsourcing"....outsourcing is about running the back office, not becoming devoid of all responsibility.......
We?d be first to criticise Bully Beef if he started investing in TV company equipment, production standards etc.....
So the Club have given it to a specialist firm to manage and produce on its behalf, but dealing with the end customer should still be Everton?s responsibility if it is sold via Everton channels or uses the official stuff....
I suppose we take our shirts back to Umbro rather than the club shop.....because we outsourced our kit making to Umbro.....Going back to the original post, this is symptomatic of the "not our responsibility" attitude of British society...the only good thing happening in the country is Everton?s rise to the top :)
I?d contact someone at the club more senior and go from there...

Being a US subscriber, they failed to tell me that this year, hightlights wouldn’t be available for a couple of days (UK only). If I’d known this, I wouldn’t have subscribed because seeing the highlights early was the only reason I joined!

Not been involved too much with Everton TV but had a lot of problems with the text service. Either no text alerts or double charging. To be fair they have refunded all the overcharged costs and for the last two games the service seems to be working. Anyone else had problems?

I emailed them at
they replied promptly and offerred a refund when I had problems changing the settings to use the service properly. It worked fine in the end though so no need for refund for me, but they did offer one. Good luck.

EvertonTV@servecast.com is the missing email address above (dunno why is went missing tho!)

DAN Parker: You can access the highlights early even outside the UK: Click outside of the match tab e.g. Latest news, then click back in to the match tab and click on Last Match. You will access them the same is if you are in the UK (dunno why it says you can’t..but you can by using the above workaround). UTB!

Michael I think I have problem with my settings too as I used to be able to listen to Everton Radio and now I can’t. Is it something to do with the fact that Windows media is not my default player. when I download video clips it goes to media player but cant seem to access the audio clips. Can anyone advise?

Carl - I have emailed EvertonTV twice to cancel my subscription. I just discovered they have renewed my subscription and charged me £4.99 again!

I probably shouldn?t be too surprised though - last time I checked the EvertonTV website the contact adress was listed as mutvonline@servecast.com (although they have corrected that now). So our online tv service is run by Manure. Great...

Lads, why not just subscribe to Setanta online. Here in Canada its just $15 per montrh and I get to see the mighty blues a lot of the time...our last 2 games in fact. You can watch the games on your own computer...live.

I also had problems receiving the broadcasts in August, even though I simply renewed my annual subscription. EFC Tv were agonisingly slow responding, and, even worse, I was left with a RED SCREEN instead of the matches streaming.

I eventually sorted it myself by trawling through my Firewall settings. I have the Zone Alarm pro software, and it is great apart from seeming to decide itself what I should or should not watch. It will also creep the security settings upwards over a period of time, and this is what effed up my EFCTV service.

I finally, by trial and error, fixed the problem myself by doing the following
I had already set the channel to the trusted zone on windows security, but got loads of HTTP 403 errors when attempting to download anything off the web. I set my Zone Alarm - Privacy - Mobile Code Control to ’Off’, and everything appears to be working fine, including Everton TV, which now opens within the EFC TV pane.

I emailed this to them, and got no reply, but my EFC now opens in its own window instead of Windows media, and plays fine.

E mail me at kwh2001@tiscali.co.uk if you want fuller details, I’ll forward you the e mail thread to EFCTV

I got a email telling me they where taking my 12 month subscription out and was annoyed that it was not a request like do you want to renew,so I emailed them and they did not take it, trouble is since then when I try to renew I am told to rejoin and when I try that I get told this email is already a member so after weeks of messing Ive left it as its pretty poor value anyway
