The Mail Bag

Who's sorry now?

Another dissapointing night for us blues. Chelsea were just too organised for us on the night and we badly missed our African Nations trio. If we are to take that last step to compete with the top 3 we need a big cash investment from somewhere and also learn from our mistakes.

No more lone striker formations at home.
No more weakened sides in the FA Cup.

Oh and one more:
No moving ground to Kirkby!!!!

Why no more lone strikers at home? Hasn’t that been the formation taht has won us quite a few games. So just because we couldn’t beat Chelsea at home with a lone striker we should just abandon the formation that has seen us into fourth.

Fook me, I am actually lookoing forward to Marsh’s thread, it will be a bit better thought out than these doom and gloom merchants tonight.

I thought Chelsea played very welll but one of the turning points was the saves by Cech. And no one mentioned that he should have been sent off for handling the ball in the D area. I have not seen a reply of the incident, does anyone have it recorded and confirm this?

No matter what moyes did he still would have had his critics but 1 lone striker has worked most of the season so why change now so I think you are in a minority even if we played 2 up front I still think we would have lost. Chelsea have a 100 million pound team how can we expect to compete? I thought we did well it was no digrace losing 1-0 to Chelsea. 9 times out of 10 we would lose to them. and 9 times out of 10 we would beat oldham, on another day.....

Peter, Cech defintley did NOT handle in the D. He showed great presence of mind to control with his chest, flick it backwards and catch it well inside the box. Hope that clears it up for you.

Moyes will never learn Eddy. He’s proved that over the five years. From Shrewsbury to Oldham.
