Cahill Suspension

Can anybody explain why the club website is saying that Cahill picked up a yellow card on Wednesday night and is suspended for the Tottenham game? I did not see him get booked and I can find no match report that refers to it either.

He was booked just after Valente. He pulled someone back the ref played on and then booked him after Valente’s foul. He made a point of finding him (I think he was trying to hide behind Lescott) and waving the yellow card (again).

Spotted there were to many hes and hims in that last sentance so to clarify
"The referee made a point of finding Cahill (I think Chaill was trying to hide behind Lescott) and the referee waved the yellow card (again) at Cahill. "
That reads even worse, heh-hoh

Shaun Wright Philips was always down in the ground crying and both Carsley and Cahill got yellow because he was crying for no reason.

John I think he was crying because he realised the real Eddie Murphy isn’t a two foot tall gargoyle like him

Sadly this just typifies Bennett as a referee, especially as he despises David Moyes.
Bennett was throwing yellows around like confetti as the game drew to a close - what a prat.

I thought the ref was OK against Chavski.
I also thought Cahill’s yellow card was fair enough. Wright Phillips got past him so Cahill pulled him back ( I thought he actually put his hand over his face but I was out in the Gods and could have been mistaken).
Just my opinion.

Yes, Cahill’s card was fair enough, except that Belletti wasn’t booked for the same thing. Quelle surprise!

Alex, Bennett had "a word" with at least three Chelski players four or five times, how far and how many times does a word have to go to translate into a yellow card. Look at how many times the FA’s lapdogs kiss arse to their masters in the big three/four and ask yourself how many times any club is actually awarded a free kick against them in a dangerous position with the majority being given in their own half or way out against touch and of a much lesser threat.
