Yak to Rot?

Comments (3)

If it is true that Yak has gone AWOL the I fear DM will let him rot in the stands along with VdM. This is the only appropriate action to take.

He wanted to play at Wembly. Woud he have come straight back if there was a place up for grabs?

He shows total contempt for the club, his team mates and supporters by his absence. Anyone with such an attitude does not belong at Everton F.C.

If the apology he comes with, on his reappearence, is accepted then he should be fined and given some community work to do to get him back in touch with reality and his responsbilities.

I wonder also about what kind of conversation took place between him and our future captain before they parted company? I believe Joe was on the first plane back. I refer to an article on Nil Satis Nisi Optimum site.

NSNO's headline is a misleading one, Brian. At this stage, we have to assume that he's taken a couple of days to visit family in Nigeria before flying on back, and for all we know with David Moyes's permission. Let's not jump the gun until he's officially AWOL.

Im sure its all official and innocent, what reason would he have to go AWOL? My thinkin is hes fully fit so can afford the couple of days missed training to go visit his family, back friday, on the pitch saturday!

Reading some of the other contributions made me think of a slightly different aspect to the transfer market. During the summer / Jan transfer window, we all read the papers and websites and hear the rumours. Sometimes, fuelled by the media, it seems so obvious that so and so is going to join. As fans we all think we know best. But look who DM "snubbed" or didn't buy and realise now what a good decision e.g. Nugent rumoured to be off to Ipswich on loan; Forsell - not exactly changing the world and McFadden off-loaded for £5m (four times the price we paid). With one or two exceptions (Kroldrup springs to mind) I think DM has a much better eye for a player than the Spanish waiter.
