No need for Z-Cars?

Comments (10)

Seeing as we came out last night and played some of the best football of the season without Johnny Keating and his band stirring up emotions in the background.. maybe its time to ditch it! ;)

Also, can anyone remember what the name of the song that the Brann fans were singing that reminded me of an old kids programme?

No need for Z CARS?!? ? just try and ditch it like that other prick done, Rat face Johnson. No chance! Hairs on the back of neck and lump in throat... Forget it; it stays. End of story.

The Brann fans were singing the theme tune to the Banana Splits - classic tune if you are old enough to remember it - and no chance to getting shut of Z Cars as Mick has excellently put gets your tummy churning with excitement and hairs standing on the back of your neck and your chest puffed out with pride.

Indeed a classic tune and a classic programme circa 1970... not a bad year in fact.
I detected the treatment that the late great Bob Marley used in Buffalo Soldiers
Or should I take more water with it ?

So you think we should abandon Z-Cars?

Why not go the whole hog and take the club emblem off the front of the shirt?

Steve and Mick..did you miss the sarcasm?

I thought the winking face made it even more blantantly obvious about Z-cars but to our more rash fans its obviously not!

Getting rid of Z-cars...think it makes the players fill with pride not only us fans.

I didn’t notice any sarcasm but no way can we get rid of Z-cars, try and say you wouldn’t miss the spine tingling feeling when the drums start beating

Shot down in flames there Ric.
It might be of interest to those who know
their history, to recall the day in the early
70,s when Z-Cars wasn,t played on a match day. We had invited the actor who
played sgt Twentyman for an official visit
and true to our habit of shooting ourselves
in the foot, we failed to welcome him and the team with what had become by then ,
our signature tune.
Even the Echo took note and commented on
it. No doubt John Moores was not best
pleased. Rocket/arse for someone.

I wish people wouldn?t refer to it as the Z -Cars theme as if it was written especially for that TV programme. Its an old Liverpool sea shanty of which we should be justly proud and I am having it played at my funeral to let God know anoher Everonian is coming!!
