EFC stars in Marbella

Comments (15)

My mate from Marbella called me this morning to say he is sat in the same bar watching the Utd game with Osman, AJ, Wessels, Phil Neville, Howard, Jags, and Hibbert. Apparently they flew out here for some mid-week training. You have to love the way Moyes works, a bit of sun and a break from the harsh English weather will hopefully recharge the batteries in time for the final push towards 4th spot. In Moyes we Trust!

Its on the southern tip of Spain. The boys seem to be catching some rays while they train. Notice Sunderland are doing the same thing.

Would this improve Pip’s and Hib’s passing skills?

You sure Moyes wasn’t scouting some spanish midfielder?

I do hope no one gets sunburn because the chances are they will miss the Derby game because of a ’training injury’ ;)

That’s why we’re always skint in the transfer window! Why can’t they send them to Chessington World of Adventures for a revolutionary training session on the roller-coaster like Brighton & Hove Albion have done?

"Instead of the normal training schedule the Brighton and Hove Albion players will spend the next three days at Chessington World of Adventures, riding on the rollercoaster and other rides in a bid to rejuvenate weary limbs and beat the fatigue which March has brought.

Wilkins said, "We’re delighted with the players’ efforts over the month of March - but they really are exhausted after nine matches in 29 days.

"We knew there would be some tired legs amongst the squad after such a monumental effort - so each of the coaching staff did some research on the internet in preparation and Dean White discovered a new report on beating fatigue in athletes.

"The motion of the rides is said to drain the lactic acid in the legs much quicker than if a player is just resting or doing a light warm down. So we have booked a coach to take the players to Chessington for the next three days."

I heard it was written into Arteta's last contract extention that he gets to go home a couple of times a season. Moyes didn?t want the others to miss out so he sent them on a scouting mission to watch Riquelme.

Neil - can you find out if is it true that AJ can only drink half pints?

Is this a windup, why would only seven players go and not the rest of them, if anyone deserves a break its lescott.

Your mate is bullshitting you Neil. The lads are training in Spain but Osman stayed back home resting a knock, so impossible he was in a bar in Marbella as claimed.

Apparently they had a games of darts, Phil Neville threw straight at the wrong board, AJ dithered then his dart just rolled gently across the floor towards the wall, and Arteta was about to throw, threw both arms in the air then the dart hit the barman.

Moyes did make changes to the darts team, but unfortunately they had already lost the match.

This has nothing to do with the topic, but I have to satisfy my curiosity:

Joe, are you the Joe McMahon who used to play centre-back for Lancaster City. If so, no-one at Giant Axe will ever forget your goal against Scarborough in the FA Cup. If not, please ignore my non-league gibberings.

This is not a wind up; my mate Russ text me this morning saying the lads were in the same bar again last night. The whole squad are in Marbella but he only saw a few players out on a social get together.
