Lets hear it for the Girls!!!

Comments (12)

The Everton Ladies team pulled off the double against Liverpool Ladies team last night by beating them 5 goals to 1.

If the girls can do it, why can't the men?

Not relevant to this topic I know, but of relevance to the club anyhow.

In my local classified section someone is selling their collection of Everton Football shirts.

As I understand it every home and away kit is on sale going back to the 1989/90 season. That’s a lot of shirts.

Every seasons shirt from the last eighteen years is on offer, some with names and numbers of past players on the back.

Ideal if you have a Evertonian family or you are a collector of Everton memorablia.

The only drawback is that the owner is requesting a price of £ 200 or a very near offer.

If any bluenoses are interested at all then you can call 077 650 363 91

Hope someone can purchase this offer.

Patty

Yes, great result! If only we could replicate such a result in the men?s fixture. You never know maybe it?s coming sooner rather than later (!!??)

I did have the pleasure of seeing the Ladies team play here in Newcastle in the QF of the FA Cup recently. Easy enough 3-1 win against a spritied, albeit limited Newcastle United Ladies team.
Pity about the Semi-Final result losing on penalties against Leeds United Ladies. Funnily enough I looked at Leeds? results prior to the match and had an inkling it would be tough and so it proved.

To be honest as far as I can judge, there is Arsenal (as the only professional ladies club), way out in front, though not unbeatable as we proved in the League Cup Final, the nearest serious team is Everton and then the rest! A bit like the Big/Sky 3 or 4 and the rest really!

Patty, more than likely the reason why the ladies completed the double is that they have a better team than the Redshite, whereas the men?s team don?t

Quod Erat Demonstrandum.

Well in ladies! Shows what having two quality big guns up top can do as well. Shame Moyesey only had the Yak to play up top meaning we were unable to penetrate properly. We can take more than a leaf out of the girl’s book though, as their ball retention and passing game was very impressive as well..
Not just the forwards, the ladies thoroughly outclassed the reds with a comprehensively better team. NSNO!

Great result!

I coach girls over here so it pleases me no end that Everton Ladies are dominating (with Arsenal) the womens soccer league.

Well done Ladies!!

Womens football is shite and Martin I can't see the point in coaching girls to play football, it's like teaching boys to give birth! they cannot make a living out of it as there will never be any real money in the women's game.

Colin Hughes you sound like a mesoginist to me - well done for your comments. Bet that really boosts the girls? morale up. As for men giving birth, you wouldn?t be here if you had to rely on the men to go through pregnancy and birth. Anyway some male is going to make money out of being pregnant - don?t you read the national press?

Chuffed to bits, and proud of them - no matter who or what anyone says, the name Everton and those wearing that blue shirt, have beaten all-comers to a title/cup. Pride and prejudice - the girls are obviously the pride - I wonder who the prejudice are?
Come on you BLUES!

Paul and Tony - naughty lads - better watch out or the girls will be in the Premier League soon and then we?ll show the so-called men?s team - nahnah!!!

Dead chuffed for the girls team. I also think that they look pretty fetching in their blue and white.
